Meet Guinny! This sweet boy was a multi-time stray at a local pound, frequently reclaimed and then found roaming again. Unfortunately on his latest journey, he was hit by a car and severely injured. We were able to transfer him into our care and get him the lifesaving surgeries he needed to fix his punctured lung and broken leg. Stewey/Stewie/Stuey was found by PRCKC Outreach December 26th. He'd been hanging around outside an apartment complex for at least 5 days in the cold and rain. It took some coaxing, but the Outreach Team was able to gain Stuart's trust enough to get him to a safe place. Stuart was transferred to us and quickly found a foster home where he is adjusting to being a puppy. He's unsure about new people, especially men but warms up with a little patience and food. Stuart is kennel trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is mostly house trained. Understandably he's a little afraid to go outside in the cold. He has a fantastic pack of foster dogs to help teach him how to be a puppy and a part of a family. Stuart likes to snuggle with his human foster parents, nap curled up with one of his foster siblings or with the laundry. I'm guessing he'll be about 60-70 lbs full grown (he only weighs ~33# now and he's still skinny).
