I lost my male to a brain tumor about a month ago and I was trying to get my female another companion. I saw that he was at the Saginaw Humane society and I went to meet him. My heart overtook my brain and I brought him home. I know rotties dont do well in shelters. My female was just getting done with her heat, so she didnt want anything to do with him. I separated them for a week and began working with him. Hes very smart and eager to learn, but because he was a stray, he doesn't know a ton. He walks well on a leash, and knows sit and easy, and is house-trained, but thats about it. He is very high strung and would need a dog introduction if you have another dog in the house. Im rehoming him because my female doesn't like him for some reason, and she loves all dogs. Hes a sweet boy who craves attention. He needs an experienced rotty owner and will need professional training, as he is around 2 years old, but acts like a 6 month old puppy. Please feel free to ask me any questions.

We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners.
