At about 58 weeks old, Dobby is looking for an active forever home where he can get the exercise, enrichment, and companionship he needs to thrive. Dobby would love a home with a secure yard and people who enjoy staying active. His Husky side means he has plenty of energy and would benefit from a family who is ready to keep him mentally and physically engaged. He’ll do best with people who have the time and patience to help him continue learning and working through that classic Husky energy. According to his current family, Dobby has not shown a history of biting or aggressive behavior and has done well with dogs and cats. His history with children is unknown, so introductions should be handled thoughtfully. Dobby is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and up to date on his preventatives. ❤️ His family is rehoming him because they recently welcomed a baby and no longer have the time and energy needed to keep up with his activity level. They want to find Dobby a home where he can get the attention, exercise, and adventures he deserves. J Dilla A18755364 lb. neutered male, approx 10 months old -This sweet puppy is still figuring out the big, wide world! He cautiously explored every inch of the yard, taking in all the new sights, sounds, and smells around him. He seems like a youngster who simply hasn’t had a lot of experiences yet and will need someone willing to show him the ropes at his own pace.-He walks pretty nicely at times, with some pulling here and there as he continues learning his leash skills.-Food is definitely the way to his heart! He’s very treat motivated, takes snacks gently, and was already catching on to “sit.” He’s a smart little guy who seems eager to learn when he understands what’s being asked of him.-Inside, a toy caught his attention and he briefly picked up a stuffie. He doesn’t quite seem to know how to play yet, but I have a feeling that’s something he’ll figure out with time and a little encouragement.-As he became more comfortable with me, I got to see more of his sweet personality. He eventually crawled right between my legs for pets, and before long, those little kisses started coming!-He’s a timid youngster who just needs someone patient and kind who will let him go at his own pace. Give him the time and gentle guidance he needs, and this little guy has so much room to grow in confidence and discover what being a puppy is all about.-Will need some puppy training. Please keep that in mind if you want a puppy. They require time and patience to be the best that they can be!-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids•Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home.
