Hilda was pulled from Detroit Animal Care and Control. She's a small rottweiler (48 pounds) believed to be about 2 years old. Her current foster mom says she is the 'chilliest dog she's ever met, and unbothered by all the other dogs'. Hilda is heart worm positive and will be starting treatments soon. What does that mean? Only that she needs a calm environment to live in while being treated. No long walks or playing fetch in the back yard (nothing that will raise her heart rate by a lot). Once treatment is complete, running, playing, hiking, can resume. There are no residual side affects to the disease. Save Monroe Strays is with you the whole way through the treatment...for advice, coaching, support, and monetarily. We specialize in heartworm positive dogs. Please consider giving Hilda her permanent home to start relaxing in.

SADIE (#33846) - Female. Around 10-12 months old and 50 pounds. Would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Cats unknown. Meets recommended with children - we suggest older kids. Happy girl. Loves attention. Curious of her surroundings - wants to explore. Would love to find an adopter who has rottie experience. No appointments needed unless previously stated. Tuesday - Friday: 12-6 pm and Saturday: 10 am - 2 pm. Meets now recommended (not required) with other dogs and children unless otherwise stated.
