Kiesha is new at Helping Strays and we are still learning about her. She loves people but can be selective with other dogs and would do best in a cat free home. She is house and crate trained. Come meet Kiesha at the shelter!Kiesha is four years old and weighs 64 pounds. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended. If you like Rottweilers, then you will love Brandie. She is a little bit older 8 years old we think and weighs in at 75 pounds. She was found behind Walmart and then Festus Animal Control picked her up. My vet asked if we could take her in and I couldn't say no. Brandie is very sweet and good with other dogs. She is house broke and crate trained, not sure if she really needs to be crated. She likes to lay in her dog bed and sleep or relax. She really is a sweetheart. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Brandie’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. Story
Nizmo’s name was inspired by Nissan Nizmo performance division. She is a beautiful friendly dog. We have a smaller dog that she got along great with and cats that she likes also. I am not sure how she would do around bigger dogs. She has beautiful tiger stripes and is very smart. She has a tendency to jump but has been trained to keep that under control. She is crate trained. She loves being scratched where her tail meets her body and has the most beautiful smile when she gets scratched. She gets excited to see me every morning. She has a fenced back yard to play in but spends most of her time indoors. We have our 9 month old grand daughter staying with us and she crawled into Nizmo's cage. She is good with children.
