Story
Draco's Story Meet Draco 🐾 Draco is a handsome 5-year-old Rottweiler who is looking for a loving new home after being surrendered due to changes in his owner’s living situation. This sweet boy didn’t do anything wrong—he just needs a fresh start with a family who can keep him forever. Draco may take a little time to warm up, but once he does, his affectionate side shines. He loves giving kisses and enjoys spending time with people he trusts. Toys are one of his favorite things, and playtime often includes some gentle, mouthy fun—just his way of playing and showing excitement. He already knows sit and paw, is housebroken, and walks fairly well on leash, though he may pull a bit when he’s eager to explore. Draco gets along well with other dogs and even cats, though very large dogs can be a little intimidating for him at first. Motivated by treats—especially beef jerky snacks—Draco will happily work for rewards and attention. With patience, love, and a cozy place to call home, this loyal boy will make a wonderful companion. Could Draco be the missing piece in your family? 💙🐶 Please apply for Draco at https://www.gloucestercountynj.gov/FormCenter/Animal-Shelter-5/PreAdoption-Application-50

Story
Meet beautiful Blockka. She came in with her housemate Zeus when their owner became too ill to care for them. We can tell you these 2 incredible dogs were absolutely loved and having to rehome them wasn’t an easy decision. The love shows in their personalities. Blockka is a very sweet gentle girl. She loves snuggles and playing ball. We know she reportedly got along well with Zeus but we will not be adopting them out together. Attempts here t the shelter to reunite them has not gone well and we want to set both of them up for success. We will definitely try a meet and greet if you currently have a dog to see if she responds better to a new dog. She walks nicely on leash and is eager to please. Blockka is also crate trained and well mannered in the home. She can be adopted on her own or you can meet both.

Story
Hi!  My name is Dulce I am looking for a forever home.  Me & a few of my friends were rescued from a pretty bad situation where we lived outside all of the time in a small pen and we were all pretty emaciated and missing most of our hair.  Our initial foster home spent a lot of time doctoring us and giving us lots of good food so now we look really good.  She then reached out to BCAA to see if they could help us all find good homes and they said yes ... yeah!  I appear to be possibly a rottie-hound mix but no one knows for sure as while I weigh a little over 46lbs at around 2 years old, I have short legs so don't look real big when you meet me.  I now have a beautiful black and tan coat which is really thick and has grown back beautifully.  When I first meet new people or go into new situations, I am shy; however, with the 3 T's (time, TLC and treats) I start coming out of my shell and learning I can trust, then I love getting attention and am a "leaner".  I enjoy playing with the other dogs and haven't paid much attention to the cats I've encountered.  I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bed.  I'm starting to get the leash thing down as I have figured out it means I can be out with you and going on an adventure but some additional training wouldn't hurt.  And talking about training, I really, really love my food and treats which you can use to help me learn new stuff.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
Meet Sammy! Sammy is a sweet, young, playful pup with a curious and adventurous spirit—and according to his foster, “he is such a great boy.” At just 1 year old and around 30 pounds, he’s still filling out and will benefit from gaining a few healthy pounds.Sammy appears to be a smaller Rottweiler mix, possibly with some Shepherd, thanks to his longer, softer coat and slender build. Whatever his mix may be, one thing is certain: he’s absolutely beautiful, smart, and incredibly soft—perfect for cuddling. He is crate trained and house trained, does great with kids, and loves playing with other dogs. After a rough start in life where he was underfed, Sammy is now an enthusiastic eater and does best with a slow-feeder bowl.Sammy truly shines when it’s time to relax—he loves cuddling on the couch and being close to his people. He enjoys toys, playtime, and exploring the world. While he can be a little nervous in new environments, he warms up quickly with patience and reassurance. He does okay on a leash and seems to enjoy car rides too. With continued guidance, love, and stability, Sammy will make a fun, loyal, and affectionate companion for a home ready to help him continue building confidence and thriving.
