Story
Meet handsome Zeus. He came in with his housemate Blockka when their owner became too ill to care for them. We can tell you these 2 incredible dogs were absolutely loved and having to rehome them wasn’t an easy decision. The love shows in their personalities. Zeus is a very sweet affectionate dog but does play rough. He loves snuggles and belly rubs so much sometimes its hard to keep him upright when petting him. We know he reportedly got along well with Blockka. Reuniting this pair at the shelter has been unsuccessful so therefore they will be adopted out separately and Zeus will need to be an only dog. Zeus walks nicely on leash and is eager to please, he is crate trained and well-mannered in the home. He does take treats a bit rough and has guarding tendencies with his food bowl so we will not be adopting him out to a home with kids and recommend feeding in his crate.

Story
*Meet Remi* Remi is a 5 months old Rottweiler and growing into an incredibly smart, fun, and loving girl. She is looking for a foster-to-adopt home with someone who has previous Rottweiler experience. This playful pup loves to run, play, and be part of the action. Remi is affectionate, eager to learn, and thrives with confident leadership and structure. She’s highly food and toy motivated, enjoys fetch, and can also entertain herself independently. The best part? She’s showing all the signs of being a really balanced young dog: -No resource guarding -No destructive chewing -No intense dependency -No begging or poor manners She already knows sit, down, out, off, place, break, come, and crate commands at a strong beginner level and continues improving every day. Her potty training is excellent, she goes outside 100% of the time and clearly lets her people know when she needs to go out. Remi has also done wonderfully with: -New people -Other dogs -Older kids -Public outings like pet stores, home stores, and food venues She’s social, smart, confident, and ready for a home committed to continuing her training and helping her grow into an amazing adult dog. We are fortunate enough to have an amazing foster home where she is being trained and we know what works best for her. Available as Foster-to-Adopt Her adoption will be finalized once she completes her vetting and training. Per the vet, she cannot be spayed for approximately another 4 months. Must be within 60 minutes of Jackson, NJ — this is non-negotiable. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Zara, Rottie, Black and Tan, Female spayed, 3 years old Zara is such a sweetheart.  She loves to be pet and enjoys just being by your side.  She does need a home where she can be your one and only pet and would do well with a family that has experience with her breed.  A home without children would be better for her, as kids may be too much for her.   **This dog is at the Ocean County Animal Facility North located at 615 Fremont Ave, Jackson NJ (off of Hope Chapel Rd).  All dogs are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and have age appropriate shots.** To adopt our dogs you must come to the facility with your entire family, including dogs, to meet with our staff and the dog you are interested in. We are open to the public seven days a week between the hours of 1pm and 4pm.   Please call our facility at 732-657-8086 for more information about any of our pets! May 31, 2026, 4:44 pm
