Story
Our beautiful Gracie Ann... what can we tell you about her in this short bio? She was found some months back, dumped in a grocery store parking lot. Alone and scared. No idea why she was dumped, no idea what she had done wrong to be deserted. One of our rescue partners called us and we jumped into action! While, we normally cannot take dogs larger than 35#, we couldn't say "no". She needed us! Gracie joined the pack of one of our fabulous fosters and fell into the role of loving life, indoors and warm! When Gracie came to us, we thought she was pregnant. Her stomach was full like she was ready to give birth. We waited. No puppies. She ate a lot.... still no puppies. We took her to the vet and confirmed, not pregnant but was in heat. Her foster mom would be out of town for a few weeks, and we would have her spayed when she returned. Gracie started losing weight rapidly. We rushed her to the vet and found out that she had pyometra. This is life or death! One vet wanted to put her to sleep because the procedure is so costly! For a rescue, $5k is a lot to absorb! We got a second opinion and are so glad that we did! Our vet gave us hope! Gracie had the surgery that afternoon and it was touch and go for a while. She stayed in the hospital for days. Today, she is fully healthy! Her bloodwork is perfect! Gracie is 2 years old.. She is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention. She is spayed and chipped. Gracie is housetrained and can be trusted outside of a crate. She is such a great dog! She will do best in a home with another dog as she LOVES to play, and we do not feel that placing her without a companion is in her best interest. If you have room in your home and your heart for this sweetheart of a girl, please complete the adoption application, below: https://acfrescue.weebly.com/adoption-foster-and-volunteer-applications.html Adoption fee: $100

Kind neighbors took him in when he kept returning to their house to eat and be cared for, when he was no longer wanted after a family's son went to college. He has been mostly an outdoor dog, but will come inside when invited and treats involved...Would make a nice family pet...He needs a forever family to love him. ❤️ Fenced yard required; VET'S REFERENCE REQUIRED.August 31, 2026, 8:48 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Toby is still looking for a home.  He was found as a stray in April, the owners (located via his chip), couldn’t take him back.  The vet says he’s a Sharpei mix, and estimated to be between 2-4 yrs old.  I have completely vetted him and he is now fully healed from his neuter. His vet care to this point has exceeded $300-but he is in great health and ready for a forever, loving home.  I am keeping him on flea, tick and hw prevention while in my care. Toby is: house trained, takes treats gently, has leash manners, wants to be with someone, loves lap time, enjoys being outside. Toby would love a home without small children (he gets jumpy excited) and someone able to walk him.  A fenced yard isn’t required, but would be nice.  Not sure about shared walls housing since he has a deep bark. We currently keep him separated from my dogs since they are not always nice to others.  We have taken Toby to a park to see his reaction in public. He ignores adults, nub wags at children, but gets jumpy excited when dogs walked by.  When on walks, he shows interest in squirrels, rabbits but is brought back on track with a stern “No”.  When in the fenced yard, he plays and self entertains, and checks to see you’re still there once in awhile.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 8, 2026, 2:42 pm
