Story
Meet Megatron(Tron)! A 17month old Rott. He is a big boy that is full of love and energy! So much energy that we just are unable to fulfill his needs to be out running and playing or long walks. He has been in our home with 3 other dogs that range in size as well as young children and an infant. He has been great with the kids, he just doesn’t always realize his large size. He is house trained and crate trained. He’s a big lover boy, but can have some dominance tendencies towards other male dogs. He also has shown territorial issues with the male dog that lives behind us. He has never bit anyone or come at us when we remove him from the situation. We are looking for a family that will have the time to burn off all of his energy daily and give the love and attention he desires.

Story
Nekko is a 6yr old neutered male Rottweiler. He is currently very underweight. Nekko was picked up as a stray . We believe his owner passed away and he was left to fend for himself for quite awhile. When the dog warden found him he was so happy to have someone care for him. He is just the sweetest guy. He is very kind and gentle. His personality is coming out and he is quite the snuggle bug. He is gaining weight nicely and has been cleared by the vet to find his forever home. He has been wonderful with children, cats and other dogs. He will need a little help with house training. He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is $400. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email heritagefarms08@gmail.com or call the foster at 419- 779-0862 . He is being fostered in Ottawa Lake , Michigan. Story
Hi, I'm Pollo! Let's start with the question I know you're all wondering about-my name! It's Pollo (pronounced POY-ow), which means "chicken" in Spanish. And yes, there's a story behind it. Before I arrived at FMAR, I made quite the impression... by eating a chicken! That bold move earned me this unforgettable name-and I've been living up to it ever since. I'm a bright, spirited boy who's been patiently waiting for my forever home at FMAR for over five years. When I first arrived as a stray, I was in rough shape-but with time, care, and love, I've truly blossomed. Now I'm ready to find that special someone who sees how wonderful I really am. For a long time, people guessed I was mostly Pit Bull Terrier, but thanks to a volunteer and a DNA test, we discovered my unique blend: 52% Rottweiler 27% American Pit Bull Terrier 16% American Staffordshire Terrier 3% American Bulldog My Rottweiler coloring really shines in the sun, and so does my personality! One of my biggest dreams is to become an agility dog. I love when the volunteers set up obstacle courses-it gives me a chance to show off my impressive jumping skills! When I'm not on the move, you'll find me lounging in the yard, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the moment. I know all kinds of obedience commands, and walk perfectly on leash. I never pull towards cats or other dogs as I am completely focused on enjoying my walk! I can be a little shy at first, but with some patience (and treats!), I'll warm up quickly and become your best friend. I need an owner that understands that I've had a journey, and who can continue helping me thrive. I enjoy short walks, LOTS of couch time, a fenced in yard, and brain games that keep me mentally engaged. Above all, I just want someone to love. If you're looking for a loyal, smart, and loving companion, come meet me-Pollo! I'm ready to show you just how special I am. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you would like to meet me, please submit an application for me on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. I am neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. My adoption fee is $250, which covers part of the medical care I have received. **Please note that the breed listed for each of our dogs is a rough estimate unless DNA results are provided in their Bio. All strays have rough estimates of their age based on the condition of their teeth. Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.

Story
Jolene LOVES belly rubs. She knows sit, paw and down; but rolls to her belly as fast as she can in hopes of cuddles. Jolene does not mind people getting in her face and thinks it's an invitation for kisses. She is a lover and not a fighter. Jolene is fostered with other dogs and plays with pitties, bullies, dobies and hounds daily. She has a deep growl when she plays (very much a Rottie thing) and can be the bully. Her dominate play style is maternal and not aggressive, she does well with other females or passive females. Jolene is playful and likes toys and keeping up with all the new smells around her. She would love a yard, farm or ranch to call home. She walks nicely on a leash, though she's huge, she's gentle and wants to stay with her human. Favorite Toy: Squeaky Duck Favorite Color: Purple Favorite Food: Duck jerky sticks She is 4 years old and appears to be mostly Rottweiler. Built like a 'brick house' - she is currently 92 lbs and stays busy supervising horses, chickens and many dog friends. Vaccinated, Spayed, Microchipped, Heartworm treated and on prevention - she is ready to travel to spend 2025 with her forever family. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes fee for XL crate in van transit to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Email to Apply! Adopt@CaffeinatedCanineRescueTx.org --------------------------------------------------- See more Photos, Videos and Updates on Social Media Facebook.com/CaffeinatedCanineRescueTX Instagram @CaffeinatedCanineRescue --------------------------------------------------- Her-story: Jolene ended up in need of care in south Brazoria County in October 2023. She came to the shelter with a male hound and shared a kennel with him until he was adopted. She struggled to make new dog friends at the loud shelter once she was alone, being transferred to SPCA Lake Jackson for care. Volunteers at the shelter loved Jolene and walked her daily, took her out for cuddles and tried to help her relax. We met her and knew we had the foster home and space/time she needed to decompress and show us her true self.
