You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Buddy, one of two new residents at The Mikey & Me Kennels in Chelsea for Happy Days Rescue. Buddy is a Rottweiler Mix, he’s extremely sweet, I believe him to be about 8 months of age, and he weighs about 45 pounds. He sits patiently in his kennel at mealtime and he is just starting to enjoy going outdoors. We could see that going outdoors is something Buddy had to assess and evaluate for his safety. I don’t think Buddy has had much outdoor time but he’s slowly adapting to this new world. Buddy has a beautiful, short-haired coat. His first Vet appt. in Dexter is scheduled for Tuesday, November 25th. He will have a physical exam, heart worm test, and he will receive other vaccinations at that time. He came to us with some vaccinations and he’s been on flea/tick meds. Rags is a very friendly and chill Rottie mix who was luckily rescued by his foster. He was found walking down a median on a busy road in Detroit. Rags currently lives with several other dogs and is very loving and sweet. It appeared he was not very well taken care of when found. He has an overbite which was probably congenital that causes his tongue to stick out. He had heartworm disease when we first got him but he was treated and is now healthy and heartworm negative. Rags is about 75 pounds and estimated to be about 10 years old. Rags has a good personality and would love to finally find a wonderful new family to love and care for him. This fellow definitely deserves it. Please consider making him a new addition to your home or companion for another friendly dog.

Coffee is a beautiful rottweiler who was at risk of getting shot after being dumped on a rural property. She was heartworm positive but has been treated for it. She has stubby tail. She has been good with male and female dogs medium to large but has not been around small dogs or cats. She is very very friendly with people. She walks well on the leash. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found.
