Koda Bear is a Lab/Rottweiler mix from Mexico with a big heart, a playful spirit, and an unshakable love for life. Today, he's thriving and enjoying every moment at the doggy hotel he currently calls home-but what he truly dreams of is a family of his very own. Koda's story began outside a department store in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he was found curled up in a corner, scared and cold. Security guards were preparing to call animal control, a situation that often leads to euthanasia. We couldn't let that be his ending. When Koda was rescued, he was in fair condition-no visible scars, but covered in ticks and fleas and clearly unsure of what would happen next. Despite his fear, he showed nothing but gratitude and gentleness toward the people who helped him. With care, safety, and time, Koda's true personality began to shine. He is a very happy, sweet, and affectionate boy who loves being around people and thrives on attention. Playtime is one of his greatest joys, especially when it involves a squeaky tennis ball-his absolute favorite treasure. Treats, cuddles, and interactive play are high on his list of life's pleasures. Koda has a playful, adventurous nature and would do best with an energetic family who enjoys being active and including their dog in daily life.
