Story
Meet Raptor, a sweet and affectionate boy who came to us after his family could no longer care for him. When Raptor arrived, he was struggling with severe skin and ear infections. After initial treatment with topical and oral medications, we saw some improvement. However, the relief was temporary, so we decided to make a dietary change to better manage his dermatologic conditions. Since then, Raptor has thrived! His skin and ears have cleared up completely, and he no longer needs topical or oral medication. He still enjoys weekly medicated baths, and his future family will be able to continue this routine as Raptor absolutely loves bath time! Raptor is a happy, energetic boy who enjoys going for walks and spending time with his people. He’s looking for a family that can keep up with his energy and offer him the love and attention he deserves. If you’re looking for a big, sweet guy to join your family, Raptor just might be the perfect match for you!

Story
Choi is one strong guy! Most of the time he is tough and determined, but once he accepts you into his circle he is a real cuddle bear. He is so very loyal. Choi enjoys spending his days doing lots of tricks for treats, playing ball, and getting all the pets he can. Sometimes he'll even sit on your lap! When we first rescued Choi he had no leash manners or training. His reactivity and protective behaviour was very intense. Throughout the months of working with him we have seen a huge change in Choi. He is extremely food motivated and enjoys structure. He would benefit from someone who is active, has experience with dogs of his demeanor, and will have the time to continue his training long term. Choi would do best in an adult only home with no other pets, in a quiet environment. He can still be reactive towards dogs, vehicles, and strangers at times. Choi could go to a home with teens depending on the family's experience as a whole.

Story
Name: Samantha Breed: Rottweiler Age/Sex: ~2020, FS Health Concerns: None at this time Good with: Breed experienced, responsible teenagers NO DOGS. NO CATS. NO DOG PARKS Samantha is an exuberant young girl, who is ready to start the best chapter of her life! She was found as a stray, so she's starting a fresh new page, and is writing her own history. Samantha is very confident, and forward. She does not appear to have received much training in her previous life, and is working hard on understanding concepts such as impulse control, and leash pressure. She is strong, and used to throwing her weight around to get what she wants. She is doing very well with her crate training, though can be destructive if bored. She cannot have soft bedding material, a Kuranda style bed is best. Samantha has excellent food and toy drive, and will play for hours. She loves the water, and everything is fun and exciting. This is no couch potato girl, she's an active working girl, and she knows it! She enjoys working for her ball, has been introduced to disc rollers, and is always up for learning something new. She is very green, and easy to take in any direction. Samantha has shown some selectivity with people, but with proper intros, and some food, is easily bribed. Staying on top of her training to ensure good choices, is key. If you get lax with her, she will absolutely take it, and run with it. Due to her nature and forward personality, homes with teenagers that can be actively involved in her training, and are comfortable establishing boundaries with a powerful, guardian breed, will be considered. Samantha has made it quite clear that she does not want to share her personal space with other pets. She can be neutral, but will get very forward and aggressive, if they enter her space. She has done very well learning to be neutral, and with continued management, should be fine in a wide variety of sporting environments. Samantha is a fabulous rottweiler, very green, and ready to go in any direction. She is a joy to work with, and very affectionate with her person. Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Rush Age: About 3 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Dobermann – Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight: 15kg / 33lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued after spending my days neglected in the countryside, confined to a short one-metre chain. My world may have once been very small, but thanks to my rescue, I've been given the chance to discover a life filled with kindness, freedom, and care. Now I'm looking forward to finding a loving forever family and beginning a new chapter filled with happy adventures and wonderful memories.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I'm Rush! I'm a calm, affectionate girl with a beautiful smile, striking mismatched eyes, and a wonderfully gentle personality. I absolutely love people and am friendly even with those I've just met, happily welcoming new friends into my world. I spent much of my earlier life tied up, so going on proper walks was likely a completely new experience for me. Even so, I surprised everyone by walking beautifully beside unfamiliar volunteers without pulling at all. I'm also an incredibly smart girl who understands cues like “sit” and “paw” almost naturally, and my love of food makes learning even more fun. With my loving nature, intelligence, beautiful looks, and naturally good manners, I have all the qualities of an amazing companion. If you're looking for a sweet, steady best friend who will happily walk beside you and brighten your days with her beautiful smile, I'd love to meet you!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I'm incredibly friendly and affectionate with people, whether we're old friends or meeting for the very first time. I'll happily come over to say hello, lean against you for affection, and enjoy all the gentle pets you have to offer. I may even roll over and show you my belly the first time we meet—a sweet sign of my trusting and outgoing nature! I'm also comfortable being gently picked up, making it easy to care for and cuddle me. · With Dogs: I'm friendly and social with other dogs and happily approach both familiar and new friends to say hello and invite them to play. I tend to get along especially well with dogs around my own size, although very high-energy or overly excited dogs can sometimes make me feel uncomfortable. Because I may stand my ground if another dog provokes me, calm and supervised introductions are important when I'm meeting a new dog for the first time. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown but when I see cats during a walk, I tend to stay focused on my person rather than showing much interest in them.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I have a balanced energy level and enjoy outdoor activities and exploring with my people. Once I've had a good walk or some time outside, I'm happy to settle down and relax calmly at home. I'm an experienced walker with excellent leash manners—I don't pull and naturally follow my person, making me a wonderful companion for peaceful walks and everyday adventures.   TRAINING & HABITS I don't guard my food from people, but I may growl if another dog approaches while I'm eating, so I appreciate having my own space during mealtimes. I'm generally a very quiet companion who rarely barks I stay calm and relaxed in my kennel I'm also comfortable getting in and out of the car on my own, making travel a little easier. When it comes to potty habits, I'm flexible and can use indoor pee pads as well as go outside for bathroom breaks.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES    RUSH'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2794111##

Story
FOR ADOPTION: A few weeks ago, we introduced you to Rusty is a young boxer mix who was struggling in a shelter environment, overlooked not because he was a bad dog, but because he was overwhelmed, frustrated, and simply lacking an outlet. That was never the real Rusty. Since entering foster care, Rusty has completely transformed. With regular exercise, structure, patience, and love, his true personality has emerged and it’s impossible not to fall in love with him. At just 1 year old, Rusty is playful, intelligent, goofy, affectionate, and always eager to be part of whatever his humans are doing. He has settled beautifully into his foster home and has loved every adventure that has come his way from waterfront walks, to hikes, to tagging along on outings and car rides. Now that we’ve gotten to know Rusty better, we know exactly what kind of home will help him continue to thrive. Rusty’s ideal forever home would include: • An active family who enjoys long walks, hikes, and outdoor adventures • A family experienced with higher-energy dogs and committed to continuing his training as Rusty is incredibly smart and learns quickly • Another playful dog companion would be a bonus, as Rusty is very social and enjoys dogs that match his energy level • Older children would likely be the best fit because of his enthusiasm and size • A fenced yard where he can safely burn off energy and play A few more things to know about Rusty: • He LOVES car rides and dog toys • He is doing wonderfully in his crate overnight and when left home alone • He’s become very popular at his vet clinic and the staff absolutely adore him • He is happiest when included in daily life and adventures with his people His foster family knows saying goodbye will not be easy, but they also know Rusty deserves a forever family who sees him for who he truly is. In their words: “Rusty is going to make his new family VERY happy with his goofy antics and fun personality! He is always eager to please his humans.” Sometimes the dog you almost overlook… Turns out to be exactly the dog someone was waiting for. Story
Juniper is a sweet, 9 year old female mixed breed dog. She had a rough start to life as a stray, suffered and overcame heartworm and has shown everyone who meets her how smart, gentle and funny is truly is. Although she has come so far, she still carries a lot of the baggage and anxiety from her earlier days. Junie loves to take naps, relax, stretch her legs and look forward to things in her usual routine. Walks, people and squirrel watching, stretching out on the couch. She also loves to be around friends, go to the pet store, the hardware store or Starbucks. She adores car rides and playing in sprinklers. Sometimes those fun outings can be overstimulating and cause her to become stressed and can also be stressful for her human friends. Her current foster parents have found out that taking time to introduce her to any new situation- allowing her to see (and safely sniff) a new place, keeping the first visit short and pairing it with treats, praise and patience can make a huge difference for her. She has time and time again shown that with each visit to a slightly less routine place, she becomes more comfortable and relaxed. And yes, we think her new adopters may even need to do this with their neighborhood coffee shop. Adopters will also need to pre-plan for potentially high stress situations where Junie may feel the need to act first and ask questions later before she understands what is happening. Asking people to give her space and giving her breaks when she needs them are very important for Junie. The great thing is: Junie enjoys being around friends in a predictable way such as having her mat to sit on with a chew treat when she needs a break from being a social butterfly.
