I have a favorite blanket I like to take from room to room. I've had a bit of a rough start to life but I will be your bestie if you let me. It would be amazing to be the only dog in the home. I really like to be the center of attention. I will compete for it if I'm not. I also really love to play ball. It would be the coolest thing in the world if I could get my very own backyard where I could play ball all the time. When I go to the dog park that's all I want to do. Car rides are not my favorite. Meet Midnight! Midnight is an 8-week-old female Rottweiler/Black Labrador mix who is ready to find the forever family that will love her through every stage of life! Midnight’s journey started in Oklahoma, where her mom, Azalea, was found hanging around a neighborhood. Azalea was incredibly friendly, and thankfully, a kind person decided to take her in so she would no longer have to live on the streets. Not long after finding safety, Azalea gave birth to eight adorable puppies—including Midnight! Caring for a mama and eight growing puppies is a lot for anyone to take on, so the person who helped Azalea reached out to The Asher House for support. We were happy to welcome the entire family, and now Azalea and all eight of her babies are safe, loved, and getting ready for their next chapters. Midnight is a happy, playful little girl who is eager to experience all the good things life has to offer. She is dog, cat, and kid friendly and would love a home where she can continue to socialize, build confidence, and grow alongside a family of her very own. Like any 8-week-old puppy, Midnight comes with plenty of puppy energy, curiosity, and learning ahead of her! Her future family should be prepared for potty training, leash walking, basic manners, socialization, and all of the patience and consistency that go into raising a wonderful canine companion. She may be little now, but she has so much potential! Midnight’s story began because someone saw a friendly mama dog who needed help and chose to give her a safe place to land. And I am one of them, but I am THE CUTEST, tHE SMARTEST and the HAPPIEST of ALL of them :) Penelope is my name and it may be a little of challenge to spell it but there is no other challenge with me ;) I have been treated for my cherry eyes (no not like the topping of a sundae :) and my heart worms and now it is OUR TIME! The classic debate- left Twix versus right Twix... Either way, it'll be delicious!! Just like a Twix bar, I am super sweet, a little salty, and really ooey gooey. I was found when I was 10 months old and brought to God’s Dogs Rescue. I was adopted for about a year but have, otherwise, spent my life in the rescue system. I'm now entering my golden years and have been overlooked for long enough! I have lived with many dogs in the past but, at my age, I prefer those that are lower energy and will live and let live. I would also be fine as the only dog. I am a generally lazy guy but I still have a stubborn streak and will assert myself if needed. I'm not a fan of smaller animals (cats, birds, etc.) unless we are talking about favorite snacks. In my foster home, I am an easy-going guy and the BIGGEST LOVER. I get so excited, wiggly, and bouncy with my humans. They give the best back scratches, I give the best hair tumbleweeds. I am also amazing on leash so walks are a breeze. My favorite way to get around though, is a ride in the car. I love nothing more than cruising around the neighborhood with the wind in my ears. I am so ready for my new AND FINAL home! Who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters! I am GhostBuster and I have a neat, sad and then happy story to tell you... So hang on for the ride!! But realize my NEXT BEST CHAPTER can include you!! In the sweltering heat I was blessed enough to CHOOSE the Post Office to hang out in. I was there for months, and no one could get me...and they tried but they deliver MAIL, not SAVE DOGS for a living..:) The Post Master knew about a local rescue, and they tried to help me too...then I was hit by a car and injured... AND I found a girlfriend and she was my lucky break, literally. The Police Department was finally able to save us and away we went to the rescue! My sweet girlfriend, Avian, was adopted before me, but I believe this is MY TIME!! Here is what my rescue friends describe me.."GhostBuster is always happy to see you, his eyes shine, tail wags, and his energy boosts whenever he sees his favorite people! He has the subtle markings of a Rottweiler or a Doberman and the temperament of a lab. He had an injured hip when saved but he has had surgery and has had his heartworms treated. During all this time he has started to know what a kind hand is like, some love, and real food!
