Story
Meet Smores! Smores is an energetic dog. This big guy loves to run around our play yard to get his energy out. His favorite toy is a rope toy, and you can often find one in his mouth when he's zooming around. He knows how to sit nicely and take the treats gently! Smores lived in a home with several other dogs, but they did not get proper attention so smores does have some guarding issues with his food. Smores may be able to live with another dog again. Now that he has been with us so long, he walks by the other dogs without paying attention, but it might take several meets for another dog in the home. You would need to be able to keep them separate because of the guarding issues over food. Please keep this in mind! We would not recommend him with small children or cats since he has never been around either. Smores will need someone who is willing to put the time in to let him get comfortable with. This means many visits with him before adoption. Once he knows and trusts you, he is the sweetest boy! Weight: 121 lbs Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Age: 4yrs 10mths 1wks

Story
Some dogs ask for a couch and a quiet life.   PJ is not some dogs.   He is a Rottweiler — broad-chested, bone-loving, built like he was carved out of the side of a mountain. But under all that muscle is a dog who wants exactly two things in this world: to move, and to be loved.   Give him the morning walk. The afternoon ball at the park. The evening hike on the trail. He thrives on routine — the same rhythm, the same people, day after day. In return, he'll give you a dog who walks on the leash, settles like a gentleman in the house, and stations himself so that he can keep a watchful eye — not because he's anxious, not because he's mean, but because  these are his people.   He doesn't need a yard — he needs attentive parents who'll give him all the exercise he craves. He doesn't need another dog. If you have one, that's just as well — just no small dogs.   He's house-trained. Crate-trained. Neutered. Past the chaos of puppyhood and into the best years of his life — the ones he wants to spend with you.   He comes with a bone. He comes with a ball. He comes with everything he's got.   PJ is ready.
