Story
Meet Smores! Smores is an energetic dog. This big guy loves to run around our play yard to get his energy out. His favorite toy is a rope toy, and you can often find one in his mouth when he's zooming around. He knows how to sit nicely and take the treats gently! Smores lived in a home with several other dogs, but they did not get proper attention so smores does have some guarding issues with his food. Smores would need to be the only pet in the home & We would not recommend him with small children or cats. Smores will need someone who is willing to put the time in to let him get comfortable with. This means many visits with him before adoption. Once he knows and trusts you, he is the sweetest boy! Weight: 120 lbs Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Age: 4yrs 5mths 2wks

Story
My Lola needs a home. It is with a very heavy heart that I am looking to rehome her. She has always been great with me and my grandkids but she has stranger anxiety, and male anxiety. She wears a soft muzzle to the vet. I am moving and she does not know my adult sons. I fear that she is too much for me to handle because she is a big girl. She is full breed from a breeder and registered. She is fixed, chipped, and up to date. Please help, serious inquiries only please. Experience with large breed preferred

Story
Meet Shiloh 🐾 Shiloh is an adorable Rottweiler/Terrier mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This happy girl is very friendly, outgoing, and full of youthful energy. She’s always ready for her next adventure and would thrive with an active family who enjoys playtime, walks, and making memories together. Shiloh is already spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped, so she’s all set to head straight into her new home. Now all that’s missing is someone willing to give her the chance she deserves. If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion who’s eager to be part of your family, Shiloh just might be your perfect match. 💕🐶

Story
Meet Roxy!If you love Rottweilers, you will adore Roxy. She does have a full sized tail! She is about 6 years old and so much fun! She does great with dogs, great with cats (she was a tad scared of the cats but we promised we wouldn’t tell everyone that ??). She will do great with kids! She is strong on the leash!** Roxy is in our care in Altoona PA. She is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, 4DX tested, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. An application must be filled out in order to visit with any dog or cat. They can be found on our website www.centralpahumane.org under the Adopt A Pet tab or at the shelter. Our animals are posted on Facebook and Petfinder when time permits. A Petfinder inquiry is not an application, and they may not be responded to. We can only accept so many applications for each animal. We do adopt out of state, but we cannot hold the animal. **PA Kennel License #1333.

Story
Gonzo is a stunning, exuberant, lively young boxer mix who is ready for a new family to call his own. Unfortunately, he is in this position due to an unforeseen health issue with his previous owner. Gonzo is extremely friendly, loving, sweet, and extroverted. He thrives around people and loves to spend quality time with his human companions. As a 1-year-old dog, he is very energetic and excitable, and has high enthusiasm when he receives attention from people or other dogs. He is still learning how to control his body and reign in his excitement and would benefit from some training as well as lots of exercise! He loves being outside, playing outside, and getting multiple walks a day. In addition, Gonzo is quite strong and still needs quite a bit of leash walk training. However, he is coachable, very attentive, and listens well. He already knows several basic commands and is very responsive to vocal cues. Gonzo loves everyone, including other dogs and is compatible with kids as well. He also previously coexisted very successfully with an adult who had special needs. Gonzo is a ball of life, joy, and excitement and he is ready to bring a lot of fun to a new lucky family. Do you think you can provide Gonzo with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org. You can also visit https://www.fourfootedfriends.org/ for more information on our organization and other pets we have available for adoption. You are also welcome to come visit any of our dogs to see if they might be the right fit! Visits are done by appointment only.
