We got Shiloh in 2021 from a Rottweiler breeder in Ohio as a family dog. Last December I became the owner of her, but I find myself too busy with work to care for her without assistance from other family members. Also having a desire to move closer to work, many places don't allow Rottweilers, so I need to find her a new home. Shiloh is about 3 and half years old, and is a happy, friendly, and super energetic girl. She's been great with kids! She's also comfortable around cats once used to them, and doesn't bother them. She doesn't have much experience with other dogs, just our neighbors. She's very playful with our neighbors German Shephard and Beagle, but she does not seem to like dogs bigger than her.

Bruno is a 4 year old altered male. He was brought to us as a stray. Bruno had some skin issues when he came in, since then he has been on some medication and has improved tremendously. He is very shy and will take some time to warm up to you. We fill that Bruno would do best being the only pet in the home and with kids 13 and older.

Archie & Connor are 8 month old Rottweiler mix brothers. Archie is the “big” brother, currently weighing in at 62 lbs. Archie is the coppery color of morning sunshine. Connor is the midnight color of a clear, moonless night. Both brothers inherited the family tail: a question mark that curls over their backs. In their previous home, both dogs lived with children & other pets. They were surrendered to the rescue when their owner, who raised them from birth, could no longer afford their care. Archie’s name means “genuine or brave.” As dogs go, Archie truly is the “real deal.” He walks well on leash & is one of the “go to” dogs for introducing new dogs to the play yard & to doggie play groups. When he sees the other dogs tugging & chewing on his brother Connor’s ears, belly & tail, Archie will bravely make them stop by using his snout to gently bat the other dogs away as though he is swatting at flies, teaching the other dogs that you can be a gentle leader & don’t have to be a bully to earn respect. Archie will thrive in a patient, loving home that can provide daily exercise, basic obedience, & loving reinforcement to build his confidence. Archie is current on vaccines & neutered. Since coming to the shelter, Connor’s leash manners have improved & he’s a fun, easy going dog to walk now. Connor loves to be beside his person or right between a pair of human legs, soaking up attention. Gonzo is a stunning, exuberant, lively young boxer mix who is ready for a new family to call his own. Unfortunately, he is in this position due to an unforeseen health issue with his previous owner. Gonzo is extremely friendly, loving, sweet, and extroverted. He thrives around people and loves to spend quality time with his human companions. As a 1-year-old dog, he is very energetic and excitable, and has high enthusiasm when he receives attention from people or other dogs. He is still learning how to control his body and reign in his excitement and would benefit from some training as well as lots of exercise! He loves being outside, playing outside, and getting multiple walks a day. In addition, Gonzo is quite strong and still needs quite a bit of leash walk training. However, he is coachable, very attentive, and listens well. He already knows several basic commands and is very responsive to vocal cues. Gonzo loves everyone, including other dogs and is compatible with kids as well. He also previously coexisted very successfully with an adult who had special needs. Meet Wellington! Wellington was brought to ICHS at no fault of his own. He is a very friendly boy! Wellington seems to enjoy making friends with humans and has already befriended our entire staff! When Wellington isn't making friends he loves to explore, run around the play yard, and work on his skills. He will sit nicely for a treat! Wellington's favorite toys are stuffed animals. Regarding other animals this handsome man seems to be dog-selective,and doesn't seem to like a couple of the other dogs here at the shelter, but overall friendly to most other dogs!
