🐾 Meet Charlie! 🐾Charlie is a playful, energetic pup looking for a loving new home. He loves to run, play, stay active, and spend time with his people. He’s a sweet, fun-loving dog who would thrive with plenty of time, attention, exercise, patience, and love.Due to our family welcoming a newborn, we’re unfortunately no longer able to give Charlie the care and attention he deserves. This is a difficult decision, and our priority is finding him the right home.Charlie knows his basic commands and is continuing to work on socializing around other dogs. He would do best as the only dog in the home and in a home without children.Charlie experiences separation anxiety and can struggle in his crate when people are leaving, sometimes becoming reactive while crated. He needs a patient owner willing to continue working with him through consistent, positive training. Please reach out if you think you may be the right fit for Charlie! ❤️🐾

Story
Meet Draco — 98 Pounds of Rottweiler LoveDraco is a handsome 1-year-old Rottweiler who came to us from local animal control and is now looking for a family ready for a whole lot of dog — and a whole lot of love! At 98 pounds, Draco is already a very big, powerful boy, but underneath all that muscle is a friendly guy whose little Rottie nub is constantly wagging.Draco is crate trained and has done wonderfully with keeping his crate clean. After one accident on his very first day, he quickly figured out the routine and will actually bark to let you know when he needs to go outside. He already knows sit, down, and come, and he is eager to continue learning.Draco is an extremely strong dog, and his future family needs to be physically capable of safely handling a dog of his size and strength. At only a year old, he is still a young dog with plenty of learning and maturing ahead of him. Rottweilers are intelligent, loyal, powerful dogs who thrive with structure, consistency, training, exercise, and plenty of interaction with their people. Continuing his training and working on good leash manners will be especially important.Draco will be tested with both dogs and cats this week, so we don't yet know how he feels about four-legged friends. We will update his profile as soon as we know more.Adopting a 98-pound Rottweiler is a serious commitment. Draco isn't just a big, handsome face — he needs a family prepared to provide lifelong training, proper socialization, regular exercise, quality veterinary care, good nutrition, and the time and attention every dog deserves. Potential adopters should also make sure there are no breed or size restrictions with their landlord, homeowners insurance, or community before applying. For the right family, Draco has the potential to be an incredible companion. He's friendly, smart, already has a great start on his basic training, and seems pretty convinced that his constantly wagging little nub is enough to charm everyone he meets. Now he just needs someone willing to make that nub wag in a forever home.Adoption application can be found at this link- https://airtable.com/shrAznkHf1ruIqQwq

Story
Meet Betty, a beautiful Rottweiler around 4 years old with a heart as big as she is! At around 85 pounds, this gorgeous girl may be a big dog, but she is truly a sweetheart who is ready to leave her difficult past behind and finally have the loving home she deserves. Betty joined us from local animal control after arriving with severe hair loss caused by a flea infestation and flea allergies. Thankfully, she is doing so much better now! Her beautiful coat is growing back wonderfully, and with continued care, we expect her to keep looking more and more like the stunning girl she was meant to be. But Betty's beauty goes far beyond her gorgeous Rottweiler looks. She is an incredibly sweet, friendly, and outgoing girl who loves being around people. She enjoys going for walks and would make a wonderful companion for someone who wants a loyal best friend to share life's adventures with. Betty is also wonderfully well-mannered in her foster home. She does well in a crate, rarely barks, and does a great job going outside to the bathroom. She is great with other dogs but needs to be in a home without cats and with older children only. And yes—Betty has a full, beautiful tail, which she is always happy to wag! After everything she's been through, Betty isn't asking for much. Just someone who will love her, care for her, and let her know that she is finally home. She deserves a family who will see past the circumstances that brought her to rescue and recognize the sweet, loving girl underneath it all. Betty is ready for her next chapter. She has so much love to give and is patiently waiting for someone to say, "You're the one we've been looking for." Could you be Betty's forever family? Meet Nestle'! This big boy is as sweet as can be just like his name suggests. Nestle' came to us through our Humane Investigations department, so he had a bit of a rough start prior to arriving to the shelter. However, Nestle has truly blossomed here, making many friends, and enjoying long walks outside and being goofy with his handlers. Nestle is a large boy and is going to need an owner who is comfortable with his size and breed. Nestle at this time would prefer to live with humans 13 years and up, and be the king of his household, without any other pets at home. Think that this big goofy goober may be your next companion? Fill out an application -> thinkingoutsidethecage.org All of our animals are altered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines before being made available for adoption.
