Wendy - one of two pups surrendered to the city pound when owner could no longer care for them. She will likely mature to be large dog. She was adopted for several months but that placement did not work out when they didn't have time for her. She spent time in a foster home with several other dogs learning how to be a dog, and did great. She will benefit from having a confident friend. To make an appointment to meet her complete the online adoption application at www.denisonanimalwelfaregroup.org/adopt $75 adoption fee -- she is spayed, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, tested NEG for heartworms, has been treated for parasites and is on flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

Max is a puppy at heart that LOVES playing tug-of-war and fetching his ball. He's super friendly with teenagers and adults and will gladly cuddle and lay with anyone willing to pet him. He's VERY prissy and will avoid walking on the grass if you're not walking on the grass. He hates walking on anything wet and doesn't like to play in the rain. He prefers a pampered lifestyle and long walks anywhere! He's absolutely hilarious and loving though with all of his quirks. From my experience, Max doesn't like to share attention (or his food) but will love you like no other. He will STEAL YOUR BED if you let him, but he's also kennel trained and will sleep in his own bed overnight if desired. All he wants is to be in your presence and to play with you so making sure he has a comfortable place to lay near you is important.

Duke is a sweet boy, but family life changes have left us unable to care for him as needed. He does thrive on attention and is a good companion. He likes to play and sleep. He's been around children but not frequently. Each time he's handled well. He is friendly with visitors. Duke does get anxious with smells that he doesn't like. He takes well to being on a leash. Does fairly well with walking, some pulling. He understands and follows basic commands. He's house-trained and crate trained. He has all shots and has 4 months of deworming meds available.
