Meet Thor! This handsome 3-year-old Rottie/Shepherd mix is a big boy with an even bigger personality! Weighing in around 70Â㫣 pounds, Thor is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, crate trained, and house trained. Thor is a sweet, smart, and very independent guy who loves going on walks and absolutely loves the water! He is also an escape artist, so his future family will need to keep a close eye on him anytime he is outside. Thor should never be left outside unattended because he is always looking for his next great adventure! Thor has a very high prey drive and needs to be the only animal in the home. He would benefit from continued training to help him learn boundaries and improve his leash manners. Thor is said to be good with kids, but he doesn't always realize just how big he is! Because of his size and enthusiasm, we would want the entire family to come meet him to make sure everyone feels comfortable and is a good fit. Thor does have chronic ear issues due to previous infections and damage, so his adopter should be prepared to continue managing his ears and keeping up with his ongoing needs. I'll perform all sorts of acrobats, even jumping in the air and twisting in every direction to catch a ball! I'm even learning to bring the balls back! I love car (or truck) rides. And I never met a trail that I did not want to explore. I meet everyone at my kennel with either a toy in my mouth or my food bowl. I am so happy to show them off to everyone. I have a full body wiggle when my favorite people are coming to get me out for a walk. I like other dogs with proper introductions. When I find a dog I like, I'll run & play until we're both dizzy with exhaustion. I'm a true "ladies man and would thrive in a home with another delightful female companion. I can be a bit shy at first, but then turn on that southern charm. I need an experienced owner and I need to be introduced to strangers slowly. But once I trust, I will enjoy cuddling in your lap. If you are willing and able to put the time into training me I will be sure to do my best to learn. Like most Rotties, I form strong bonds with those I love. I'm what they call a "diamond-in-the-ruff who will make a great life-long companion. I have been waiting a long time for my forever home. Loving, loyal, full of life. Come meet me!

Located in Lovettsville, VA Hi, I’m Briella! 🐾 I’m a beautiful Rottie/Hound mix with a playful personality and a lot of love to give. Toys are one of my absolute favorite things, and I’m quite the talker when I have something to say! I do wonderfully with other dogs of all sizes and would really benefit from having a confident canine friend in my forever home. I’m still working on my socialization and can be nervous around new people and unfamiliar situations, but I’m making great progress and warm up quickly once I realize I’m safe. I'm even working with a foster who is also a dog trainer! One place I already feel completely comfortable is my crate — I’m a crate-training superstar and will even go in on my own when I want to relax. Young children are especially scary for me right now, so I’m looking for a home without little ones. Older, dog-savvy kids in their early teens or above may be a good fit. Because I can be nervous and may try to bolt when frightened, my new family will need to be extra careful about keeping me secure. A fenced yard is strongly encouraged and would give me a safe place to build confidence and explore. I’m looking for a patient family who understands that I may need a little time to feel safe. A secure home, plenty of toys, and ideally a doggy sibling to show me the ropes would be just about perfect. Give me a little patience and love, and I’ll show you just how sweet, silly and special I can be. ❤️
