Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This handsome boy is ready for his forever home. He is current on vaccinations, preventions, chipped and neutered. He looks like he has some Australian Shepherd in him and has some Rottie markings, but this is just a guess. Going to guess he will be large sized when full grown. He is currently in the 50-60 lbs range and growing! He does great with other dogs and is using the doggy door to go outside and potty. He can be a bit of a velco dog with his people. He has been with rescue since 8 weeks old, so he will need a family who understands he will need time to get used to new people, a new home and a new routine. He is very loving and affectionate and will curl up by your feet at night on the floor. His ideal family will have a physically fenced yard, lots of room to run and play and kids over 10 who can be his very best friend! He is housed in Tennessee right now but no worries because we use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. They will deliver to a destination near you. Their transport goes every other weekend to the Northeast and the Great Lakes.

Story
I've had a long journey to get to FOHA. I found myself getting here from South Carolina, and numerous stops along the way. I came in heartworm positive, but my friends at FOHA helped me recover and I am now 100% cured! I love car (or truck) rides. I like other dogs with proper introductions. I never met a trail that I did not want to explore. I can be a bit shy at first, but then turn on that southern charm. I meet everyone at my kennel with either a toy in my mouth or my food bowl. I am so happy to show them off to everyone. I have a full body wiggle when my favorite people are coming to get me out for a walk. I need an experienced owner, as I am leash reactive (yup, I can lunge!) and I need to be introduced to strangers slowly. But once I trust, I will enjoy cuddling in your lap. If you are willing and able to put the time into training me I will be sure to do my best to learn. Mason is sponsored by Linda Falkerson: Her message - Mason is a strong, energetic dog who will make a loyal, lifetime companion. Story
Hello there! I'm Samson! I have had many FOHA friends take me for walks and even on vacations! My joy: is carrying sticks of any kind. I relish every twig, stick, and even large logs. I also love water. I will not miss an opportunity to swim in numerous puddles, creeks and streams - sometimes enjoying both my stick and the water at the same time. I would love to be with an active owner. I can go miles of hiking and still entertain myself with sticks. After such outdoor activity I relish being in a home. I am completely housebroken. I can be very affectionate - often following my humans around the house, jumping on their laps, and drenching their faces with kisses. I sleep soundly through the night on my bed. My ideal forever family would be a family who has dog experience. I would do best in a home without children and I would thrive as the only dog. My dream come true would to live in a home with a fenced yard. With a yard of my own I could happily spend my days entertaining myself with a giant Jolly Ball! I am currently up for adoption patiently waiting for a forever home. Please consider making me a member of your family. Write up and drawing below thanks to Mrs. McDermott's 2nd Grade Class and their Nonfiction Research Project. Samson is sponsored by Kristen Kimmel: In honor of Mike & Cristi Kimmel, for loving dogs so well and inspiring us to rescue and love our own Samson. Story
A 2-1/2-year-old full-bred Rottweiler named Reign. I purchased Reign during my Junior year of college - he helped keep me focused and quickly became my best friend. I'm now graduated and moving on with my career - unfortunately, I don't have enough time to spend with him. I'm looking for a great caring and loving family to love and care for my best friend. Reign is a great companion - very loving, caring, and playful. He loves intermixing with other dogs/pets, enjoys walks, playing catch, giving/receiving hugs, and most of all, playing tug-of-war. Reign is housebroken, up to date on all of his shots, and has a healthy diet. I have him scheduled to be neutered this summer, but unfortunately, I need to find a new home for him before that happens - I'm willing to work with the new owner if requested. If you're a loving family that can help care for my best friend, please contact me.

Story
To learn more about Juan, please get in touch with his foster family at tamlynna@gmail.com Juan's senior label translates into a perfect house guest and a dog who enjoys the simple things in life -- lots of walks, toys, and yummy food. This 12-year-old sweet boy has years of companionship to give to his new family. Juan loves all dogs and people. He is a quiet boy who never (truly, never!) barks. Instead, he will give a little whimper to let you know when it's time to go out; otherwise, he communicates with his smiles. He is hard of hearing but calm and adapted to exploring to find his people after a quick nap. Loves to have you near but can be left alone for short durations when needed. Juan loves his walks throughout the day, from quick ones to up to ~ 45 minutes on the longer end. He is perfectly housebroken and sleeps well throughout the night, but he does well with being allowed to roam when he wants. He would do well in a home with few stairs and for stairs and floors to be carpeted or have area rugs/treads. Juan would benefit from being in a home with another friendly dog or at least ample time to socialize. It is impossible not to fall in love with this handsome boy and see he would make the perfect addition to your household, so please meet him in person.
