Story
Current Location: Charlestown, WV Hello! My name is Baby Girl! I'm coming to OPH on 3/13. Please check back soon for updates on my personality, and to see adorable new photos. I’m looking for my forever family! Is that with you? If so please click “apply for adoption” or submit an application through the Adopt tab. Let’s get our family started! This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read about heartworm disease here: Read more about heartworm disease at https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basics

Story
Winnie a confident, affectionate, and absolutely gorgeous Rottweiler who truly loves her people. Great with kids, house trained, and happiest when she’s right by your side soaking up attention. She’s got that perfect mix of loyal shadow and big lovable goof. Winnie has been working with a professional trainer and she is doing SO well. She knows her basic commands, has solid on leash manners, and even does great off leash. She’s incredibly smart and eager to learn, which makes her such a fun dog to have around. She would thrive in a home that can give her a little structure and keep up with what she’s already learned. Winnie would do best without cats and isn’t a fit for small animals. She can do well with dogs her size with proper introductions, or she’d be perfectly happy being your one and only. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, smart companion who will stick by your side through everything, Winnie is your girl. Adoption fee is $400 and includes spay, vaccines, parasite prevention, and microchip. Apply at www.fullcirclerescueandsanctuary.com

Story
If you are looking for a young, frisky pup who loves to play, Roady would be your new best friend. He could be part boxer or boxweiler with his furrowed brow but leans in like a lab, part heeler perhaps? Whatever the mix, Roady does love the car, travels politely, and would thrive with a daily dog park visit. He has a lot of stamina, runs fast, and enjoys chasing balls. He might do really well with agility training. Roady loves his meals and is working on "sit" to wait for them. He is a bit shy on occasion and it will take time for "come" to be second nature. Roady can get distracted outside as all his senses seem to be on alert. He has especially keen hearing and long distance vision, but does not bark often. He is a gentleman in the house as he is totally housebroken! Roady is still young and learning, loving a chew toy of any kind, especially plastic, so he will need heavy monitoring in a new environment for a bit. He takes calm and firm verbal correction well and is learning "off" and "leave it" commands. Having said that, Roady crates easily and enjoys being in and out of bed during the day on his own. He has done well being confined when adults are out for a couple of hours. Roady gets along well with other medium-sized dogs and follows after his foster brother on walks and visits in the yard. He is a great follower and would love another dog or playmate at home. He does very well on leash. If you are looking for a manageable optimistic, playful dog who can content himself without fuss, Roady will make a wonderful companion for the lucky family that chooses him.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Bella is a sweet dog. Beautiful color in the brindle stripes. She is approximately 4yo. She is housebroken and eats with aggression around our dogs and humans. She loves to snuggle and lay on your lap. She was brought to our attn by a neighbor. Bella was left by her family that moved out and left her behind. We don't know how long she was alone, but she was skin and bones probably weighed 20 lbs. We do rescue work and have 2 rescue dogs from lab Rescue. Bella loves our male dog and they play all day. But she does not like our female dog. Not sure which dog has the issue as our female is a special needs dog. She may be fine with your dogs not sure. We have had her for 9 months. Great dog.
