Story
Meet Thor! If you're looking for a big, lovable shadow who believes personal space is completely optional, then Thor might be your perfect match! At around 3 years old and 70Â㫣 pounds, Thor is a handsome, strong boy who is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. Despite his size, Thor is convinced he's a lap dog and absolutely loves cuddling with his people. He enjoys attention from everyone, including children, but because he doesn't always realize just how big he is, we'd like all family members to attend the meet-and-greet to ensure a great fit. Thor is house-trained, crate-trained, and already knows some basic commands. He's a smart boy who enjoys being part of the family and is ready to settle into a loving home. According to his previous owner, Thor is dog-friendly, but he prefers larger dogs and has a rough-and-tumble play style. He can be dominant with other dogs, so any potential canine siblings will need to participate in a dog test before adoption. Due to his high prey drive, Thor will need a home without cats, chickens, or other small animals. He is also a known escape artist, so a secure containment plan and diligent supervision are a must. - Neutered -Microchipped - Up to date on vaccines - House-trained - Crate-trained - Knows basic commands - Loves people and cuddles - No cats - No chickens or small animals - Larger dogs only (dog test required) Thor is ready to trade shelter life for a couch to share and a family to love. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart, come meet Thor! Interested in adopting? Story
https://foha.org/pet/mason/ Hi there! I'm Mason! I certainly am an adorable Rottie mix who loves and plays hard. I am a pro when it comes to games of fetch. I'll perform all sorts of acrobats, even jumping in the air and twisting in every direction to catch a ball! I'm even learning to bring the balls back! I love car (or truck) rides. And I never met a trail that I did not want to explore. I meet everyone at my kennel with either a toy in my mouth or my food bowl. I am so happy to show them off to everyone. I have a full body wiggle when my favorite people are coming to get me out for a walk. I like other dogs with proper introductions. When I find a dog I like, I'll run & play until we're both dizzy with exhaustion. I'm a true "ladies man and would thrive in a home with another delightful female companion. I can be a bit shy at first, but then turn on that southern charm. I need an experienced owner and I need to be introduced to strangers slowly. But once I trust, I will enjoy cuddling in your lap. If you are willing and able to put the time into training me I will be sure to do my best to learn. Like most Rotties, I form strong bonds with those I love. I'm what they call a "diamond-in-the-ruff who will make a great life-long companion. I have been waiting a long time for my forever home. Loving, loyal, full of life. Come meet me!

Story
Current Location: Westminster, MD Hello! My name is Baby Girl! I'm coming to OPH on 3/13. Please check back soon for updates on my personality, and to see adorable new photos. I’m looking for my forever family! Is that with you? If so please click “apply for adoption” or submit an application through the Adopt tab. Let’s get our family started! This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read about heartworm disease here: Read more about heartworm disease at https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basics
