Russian Blue kittens & cats in Montgomery, New York

Smoky is a man of mysteries. He is a big boy with an even bigger personality. He is comfortable with other cats/kittens, but prefers his space. He has met the foster family dog and had little interest or concern. He would be wonderful as an only cat/companion animal because he does love attention.  He's very affectionate! He loves to take naps in beams of sun, and doesn't really play that much. A quiet, chill house would be great for this guy. Smoky is FIV+ and had stomatitus. To treat this autoimmune disease, his teeth were removed and he's done much better without them. He's a good eater and loves his friskies.  We estimate his birth year to be 2017. Smoky was abandoned by his "family", who moved and left him behind. He remained in the neighborhood where he returned to his home each night and sat on the porch. We discovered his situation when a neighbor called about a colony of community cats they were feeding. Our required adoption donation is $150 per kitten or $125 per cat (older than 9 months). All our rescues are up to date on shots, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLV/Heartworm (Smoky is FIV+). They are dewormed, treated for parasites and free of fleas. Each is spayed or neutered and given a rabies vaccination.  An application must be completed to be considered to adopt from Stray HELP. Emerald is a 2 year old Russian Blue cat. Emerald is a sweet boy who loves to snuggle up in his hidey bed. He takes time to warm up to people but he enjoys the company of other feline friends very much. Emerald does not mind to be alone. Sometimes he prefers it that way. He will seek out affection when he is ready for it. Emerald would do OK in a home with children and other cats. We do not know how he would be with dogs at this time. Ana is a female purebred russian blue who is about 4 years old. She is a lovebug and loves people and cuddles but not animals. We rescued her from an abandoned home where she was a beloved pet. In her new home she lives with a dog who was just too excited to have a playmate and it terrified her. She was rehomed temporaily to a family member and has lived with them and a cat for a few months but Ana needs a new home as her and her feline housemate do not get along. Other than her need to be your only furry friend she is a great house cat who loves people.

Cleo is a gorgeous female between 8 - 10 years old looking for her next furever home. She was rescued from a shelter and has lived with her elder human companion for the last 7 years; however, her human is 98 now, and getting too old to take care of her. We are uncertain if she gets along with other animals as she has been the only pet for the last 7 years, but she is a friendly girl, and does not hide from strangers. She loves to be petted and spends her days looking out the window. Cleo just got a clean bill of health from the vet. She does have one tooth that may need attention in the future.
