CURLY Breed: hound-beagle mix Age: 1 year Weight: 55 pounds Adoption Fee: $275 Vetting Status: neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed and maintained on heartworm preventatives ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Curly is a super social, kissy, big guy. He adores all his doggie friends, large & small. Although he has not been tested with children, we suspect that he would absolutely love to have kids to play with! Curly originally came into rescue labeled a beagle/beagle mix & has grown into his puppy legs, proving to be more of a hound mix in size. He is crate trained, housetrained & OK on a leash.... though he would much prefer to run crazy in your fenced backyard. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CURLY is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore. An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit. ~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption!

From the moment he arrived, he’s shown a quiet acceptance of his surroundings — not fear, not shutdown — but a peaceful willingness to take things in and trust the process. He’s affectionate and sweet, enjoys gentle attention, and prefers to observe before jumping in. Luca watches the world around him with curious, soulful eyes, taking note of what’s happening rather than demanding the spotlight. There’s something deeply endearing about the way he moves through his day — steady, patient, and kind. We’ve only had Luca for a short time, so his personality will continue to unfold as he settles in. Whether he remains a quiet observer or blossoms into a more playful pup, what’s already clear is that he has a beautifully gentle nature and an easy way about him. Luca may be a Beagle mix, which would explain his soft expression, loving temperament, and thoughtful demeanor. Beagle-type dogs are often known for their affectionate hearts and deep bonds with their people.
