Story
Meet Scout, an 11-month-old beagle mix with floppy ears, a black-and-white coat, and a whole lot of heart packed into his 34-pound frame. Scout is a total sweetheart who lives for human companionship—he loves snuggling in laps, hanging out underfoot, and greeting his people with full-body, butt-wiggling excitement. He enjoys toys, chasing balls, and settling in with a cozy blanket or a good bone. Scout is housebroken, doesn’t mark, walks beautifully on a leash, and is motivated by treats and praise—he truly wants to make his humans happy.Scout does well with other dogs and enjoys playful bursts a few times a day, but he’s not pushy and tends to follow rather than lead. He can be a little timid in new situations or around unfamiliar people, dogs, or noises, but with patience and reassurance he warms up quickly and shows his affectionate side. He’s crate trained and currently crated when his humans are away or at night. While he doesn’t love the crate and may cry for about 10 minutes before settling, he’s making steady progress and benefits from consistency and a calm routine. Scout is a gentle, loving young dog who would thrive in a home ready to offer him reassurance, structure, and lots of snuggles. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will reward your patience with endless affection, Scout might just be your perfect match. ??My adoption fee is $350. AARF wants me to tell you that their adoption package covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like me for our forever homes. By the time you meet us, we’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age appropriate) and microchipped. We’ve been checked by a veterinarian, and we’re up to date on age appropriate immunizations against rabies and DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus). We’ve been tested for heartworm and other tick borne diseases (4DX), and we’ve started our heartworm and flea preventive medications. Some of us have had extensive surgeries, dental work, or other necessary procedures. AARF is committed to getting all of us entirely ready for a happy, healthy, love-filled life!

Story
CURLY Breed: hound-beagle mix Age: 1 year Weight: 55 pounds Adoption Fee: $275 Vetting Status: neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed and maintained on heartworm preventatives ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Curly is a super social, kissy, big guy. He adores all his doggie friends, large & small. Although he has not been tested with children, we suspect that he would absolutely love to have kids to play with! Curly originally came into rescue labeled a beagle/beagle mix & has grown into his puppy legs, proving to be more of a hound mix in size. He is crate trained, housetrained & OK on a leash.... though he would much prefer to run crazy in your fenced backyard. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CURLY is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore. An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit. ~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is a courtesy posting. Please call 410-627-6563 for information about adopting Razzle.  Razzle is a gorgeous, elegant American Foxhound. She is a very sweet girl who loves to play but will happily settle in to watch TV and nap on the couch with her person. She likes to play with other submissive dogs (40 pounds or heavier) but can be protective of her people with other dogs. Razzle would be fine as an only dog as long as she gets plenty of exercise. She also gets along with cats. She is not destructive and is house broken. For Razzle to thrive, she needs a stable, quiet home. In return she will shower you with love and devotion. Razzle requires a yard with a physical fence where she can run and play safely. She needs a home without children as she gets anxious with all the activity that comes with children and their friends. Razzle’s adopter must have previous dog experience as an adult. **Please note: We are only able to adopt within 30-40 miles of Baltimore, MD. For more information on our adoption policies and procedures, please go to http://www.petrescueofmd.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 9, 2024, 1:33 pm
