Roscoe is a 5 year old beagle. He is house trained, knows his name well, all shots up to date. He is not neutered but is well mannered and at one point was a hunter. Because he was trained to hunt he doesn’t bark obsessively like most beagles. Roscoe loves to cuddle, try to make friends with cats, and run! He does well with some other dogs, although an attack at the dog park has left him guarded and unsure about other dogs. Especially dogs bigger than himself. With older children he is great, he loves their attention and will play with honestly anyone. He hasn't spent about 6 months with an infant and did relatively okay. Roscoe loves the outdoors, even if just sitting on the porch outside is where he wants to be. Because of his earlier training, he is relatively easy to teach new things. He has been well cared for and loved and we are looking for a new home that will continue to love and care for him.

Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. She likes to play with other submissive dogs (40 pounds or heavier) but can be protective of her people with other dogs. Razzle would be fine as an only dog as long as she gets plenty of exercise. She also gets along with cats. She is not destructive and is house broken. For Razzle to thrive, she needs a stable, quiet home. In return she will shower you with love and devotion. Ruger's guardian adds: "He's the best snuggle buddy and would love to be able to sleep in bed with you! Daily walks are a must, he needs some adventure time before cuddling on the couch. He can't be left unattended for even a minute in a fenced yard because he will very quickly dig out! He does well during car rides, but dislikes/fears crates and being left alone. NOTE: A requirement of his adoption will be enrolling him in a training program with a professional dog trainer. Beagle experience would be great!" Are you ready for a new, loyal best friend? Olive is your girl! She’s a 12-year-old Beagle who is happy, active, and loves to be around people and other dogs. Olive arrived at FLFO weighing 61 pounds. Her owner surrendered her because they said she wasn’t eating and could no longer get up on her own. Well, no wonder! She was 20 pounds overweight! And we have never seen Olive turn down a meal. In fact, one of her favorite pastimes is to graze the back yard for bunny droppings! Olive loves to take hikes in the park and walks through the neighborhood. She’s lost 14 pounds so far and it brought back her vitality. Olive has no health issues. Olive is looking for a home who will continue with her weight loss journey by providing her with healthy meals and lots of exercise. She also would love to have a canine friend to play with but not necessary. Olive knows sit and up (beg), walks nicely on a leash, and gives gentle kisses. She could use a little work on her treat taking skills, however. She’s very exuberant about her food! Woof! Hey there, I’m Snoop, the ultimate canine companion you’ve been searching for! If you’re looking for a dog who’s as friendly as they come, well, you’ve hit the jackpot with me. First things first, let’s talk about my personality. I’m basically a walking ray of sunshine! Whether you’re young or young-at-heart, human or furry, I get along with everyone (although I don’t have much experience with cats and have not made up my mind about them). Seriously, put me in a room full of strangers, and I’ll make friends with every single one before you can say “fetch!” Now, let’s talk skills. I am a pro at “sit,” getting belly rubs, and cuddling on the couch for Netflix binges. I also am very calm and mild-mannered when waiting for my human to feed me. When I’m not charming the socks off everyone I meet, you’ll probably find me running around my backyard, sniffing and exploring, and chasing squirrels up trees. I love to take walks with my human around the block twice a day – my daily walk is my version of reading the newspaper! One thing I love maybe a little too much is my stuffed animals. Sometimes I get so carried away that I eat the fabric and try to eat the squeakers, which can be very dangerous for my intestinal system. So, I have to be supervised with my toys and only given stuffies that I won’t rip to shreds immediately! A long time ago, I hurt my leg and it caused both my knee and hip to be bad. Because of that, they had to remove it, but no worries, I have three others! I get around just fine for the most part (going down stairs sometimes can be a bit tricky) and don’t really miss it. When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away!
