CURLY Breed: hound-beagle mix Age: 1 year Weight: 55 pounds Adoption Fee: $275 Vetting Status: neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed and maintained on heartworm preventatives ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Curly is a super social, kissy, big guy. He adores all his doggie friends, large & small. Although he has not been tested with children, we suspect that he would absolutely love to have kids to play with! Curly originally came into rescue labeled a beagle/beagle mix & has grown into his puppy legs, proving to be more of a hound mix in size. He is crate trained, housetrained & OK on a leash.... though he would much prefer to run crazy in your fenced backyard. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CURLY is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore. An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit. ~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption!

She came to us very pregnant and uncertain, and an X-ray showed she was carrying four puppies. From the moment they arrived, Macy showed the world what kind of dog she is — an exceptional mama. She dotes on her babies, plays with them, watches over them carefully, and makes sure they are always safe and loved. Macy has an intensity to her affection that is impossible to miss. She will look at you with big, open, soulful eyes — the kind that seem to ask for love while offering all of hers in return. There’s a tenderness about her that tells us she likely didn’t have an easy life, and being abandoned while pregnant only reinforces that. And yet… she still trusts. She still loves. She still opens her heart to people. That kind of resilience speaks volumes about Macy’s beautiful spirit. She is sweet, gentle, affectionate, and deeply loyal. Macy will thrive in a home where she can finally be someone’s priority — where her love can be returned in full. There's alot I can say about Diego. He's my first ever dog. I picked him up when he was a puppy at an adoption event at Petsmart back in 2019. He grew up so fast. He's really smart, very playful, innocent, and once he warms up to you, he'll love you so much. I feel terrible for making this decision to let him go, but my life has changed over the years (wife, new baby, new job) that it's just alot of trouble to give him the attention he deserves. I know he deserves better, so I made the selfless decision to post him up for rehome in hopes we can find him a new loving family.

She is a very sweet girl who loves to play but will happily settle in to watch TV and nap on the couch with her person. She likes to play with other submissive dogs (40 pounds or heavier) but can be protective of her people with other dogs. Razzle would be fine as an only dog as long as she gets plenty of exercise. She also gets along with cats. She is not destructive and is house broken. For Razzle to thrive, she needs a stable, quiet home. In return she will shower you with love and devotion. Razzle requires a yard with a physical fence where she can run and play safely. She needs a home without children as she gets anxious with all the activity that comes with children and their friends. Razzle’s adopter must have previous dog experience as an adult. **Please note: We are only able to adopt within 30-40 miles of Baltimore, MD.
