If you`re craving a pup to fill that hole in your family - Bagel is gonna be the perfect fit! This handsome 2-year-old Beagle mix is the kind of dog who fits in just about anywhere. Whether your perfect day includes hiking the trails, tossing toys in the backyard with the kids, or relaxing on the couch for a movie marathon, Bagel is ready to join in. He`s especially head-over-paws for children and will happily spend hours following them around, playing outside, or simply being part of whatever adventure they`re having. He also gets along wonderfully with other dogs, adjusting his play style to match their personalities, and his friendly nature makes everyone feel like they`re already part of his pack. Basically...this Bagel is EVERYTHING!Like any true Beagle, Bagel believes life is best experienced one sniff at a time. He walks nicely on a leash but can get a little enthusiastic when an interesting scent catches his attention, and every now and then you`ll hear his classic Beagle bay when he`s especially excited. He`s doing great with crate training, is completely house trained, and is learning basic commands like `sit` and `stay.` His biggest work-in-progress is remembering that shoes and other household items aren`t chew toys when he gets bored, so he`ll do best with plenty of exercise, enrichment, and appropriate chew toys to keep his busy mind occupied. If you`re toast after seeing this cute face - and we guess you are - order up one Bagel today! If you’d like to take this pupper home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $350 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!

CURLY Breed: hound-beagle mix Age: 1 year Weight: 55 pounds Adoption Fee: $275 Vetting Status: neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed and maintained on heartworm preventatives ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Curly is a super social, kissy, big guy. He adores all his doggie friends, large & small. Although he has not been tested with children, we suspect that he would absolutely love to have kids to play with! Curly originally came into rescue labeled a beagle/beagle mix & has grown into his puppy legs, proving to be more of a hound mix in size. He is crate trained, housetrained & OK on a leash.... though he would much prefer to run crazy in your fenced backyard. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CURLY is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore. An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit. ~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption!

Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. She is ready for her furever family!! Apply soon! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX)

Story
Courtesy Post: Meet Arlo ❤️ Arlo is a handsome 4-year-old Beagle/Pit Bull mix weighing about 60 pounds who has been a deeply loved member of his family's home since he was just 4 months old. This sweet, loyal boy is looking for a new beginning with someone who will appreciate the incredible companion he is. If Arlo could describe himself in three words, they'd be loyal, goofy, and affectionate. He absolutely loves cuddling, giving hugs, and being close to his favorite people. One of his family's favorite things about him is how incredibly soft he is—making every cuddle even better! He also has the funniest habit of sleeping upside down with a big smile on his face, guaranteed to make you laugh. Arlo has a heart that's as big as his personality. He's remarkably intuitive and seems to know when someone he loves is having a difficult day. More than once, he's sensed his owner crying from another room, rushed over, and quietly sat beside them to offer comfort. That's simply who Arlo is—a dog who loves his people with his whole heart. Around the house, Arlo is calm, well-mannered, house-trained, and crate-trained. His crate is his favorite place to relax, and he enjoys spending much of the day lounging on his bed, watching the world outside the window, or taking a peaceful nap. He knows an impressive list of commands, including sit, stay, down, wait, 'go to your room' (crate), and even 'bang bang' to play dead! He also loves using his nose in fun search games where treats are hidden for him to find. When it's time for fun, Arlo enjoys walks, hikes, running, and exploring every interesting scent along the trail. His favorite toys include his giant stuffed shrimp, turtle, ball, and Nylabones. He's not picky about treats either—he loves them all! Arlo adores adults and usually wants to greet new people with one of his signature hugs. He can be left alone while you're home without issue and settles nicely in his crate when his family is away. Like many sensitive dogs, Arlo thrives in a calm, predictable environment. As he has matured, he's become uncomfortable living with young children and has shown fear-based behaviors around them. Because of this, Arlo is looking for an adult-only home where he can relax and feel secure. His family wants potential adopters to know that he isn't seeking out conflict—he has simply shown that he is happiest without the stress of living with children. Arlo can also be selective with other animals. He has successfully lived with a 25-pound canine companion and generally does best with smaller dogs. With the right calm, respectful dog and slow introductions, he may also do well, but he would be equally happy soaking up all of the attention as your one and only pet. He does best with an experienced handler on walks since he can react when other animals are nearby. His ideal home is a quiet one with patient, understanding people who will continue helping him build confidence. A fenced yard would be wonderful, although an adopter committed to giving him several daily walks would also make him happy. Arlo is neutered and healthy aside from some mild anxiety, which is easily managed with calming chews. His rabies vaccine is current. This has been an incredibly difficult decision for Arlo's family. They love him dearly, but they know he deserves a home where he can feel completely comfortable and thrive. They are committed to finding him the perfect match—a gentle, patient person who will cherish his affectionate nature, appreciate his goofy personality, and receive the unwavering loyalty he gives so freely. If you're looking for a devoted best friend who will greet you with hugs, make you smile every day, and be by your side through life's ups and downs, Arlo may be the dog you've been waiting for. Story
Amber has not had an easy life. This sweet girl was found in a field with 3 other dogs, along the Texas/Mexico border. The difference with her is – she was producing milk and had obvious puppies somewhere. To the devastation of all of us, we found out somebody had taken her puppies, and left Amber behind. Amber was heartbroken. She had tons of milk, was very motherly, and had no puppies to mother or take care of. You could see the heartbreak she had. Over time, Amber has overcome that tragedy, and has turned into the sweetest, most loving girl. Amber is approximately 4 years old and weighs 42 lbs, despite she could stand to lose a few lbs. She looks to be a beagle mix with her small body and shorter legs, but is not vocal like one. A fun quirk about Amber is if you go to pick her up, she rolls on her back and starts kicking out her little, stubby legs in excitement. She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES human contact and belly rubs. Amber loves other dogs but would be fine in a home without them. She sleeps next to the catio and has no issues with cats! She is very laid back and just the sweetest girl. Amber absolutely loves everyone she meets. She is very submissive and very gentle. Amber is crate and house trained. When you baby talk Amber, she starts dancing around in excitement. SHE LOVES BEING BABY TALKED TOO. An ideal home for Amber is one that wants a cuddle buddy and is calmer. She loves being next to her human and relaxing more than anything else. A must for Amber: cuddling and belly scratches. If you want a great apartment dog, a loyal partner and a dog that is more relaxed than most, please consider Amber. Amber is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We ONLY do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed ($525) INCLUDES transport from Texas to the Northeast. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany, NY Wells, VT and Brattleboro, VT Nashua, NH – Only one transport company goes here, times vary Willington, CT - Stamford, CT - Dayville, CT Steubenville, OH – Cincinnati, OH – Grove City, OH Grove City, PA and Washington, PA Ridgefield, NJ and Mt Laurel, NJ Emmitsburg, MD and Elkton, MD Falls Church, VA and Glenn Allen, VA We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home. Story
The best things in life are worth waiting for - and Charlie is no exception. After being found abandoned in Louisiana with his littermates, at just 3 weeks old, Charlie has been taking life one brave step at a time.At about 3.5 months old, Charlie is a short-legged, long-bodied cutie with a gentle heart. New people and new situations can be very overwhelming for him, so he’s looking for a patient adopter who understands that trust is earned, not rushed. Once Charlie feels safe, his goofy personality starts to shine. He loves belly rubs, sniffing around the yard, snack time, and quietly hanging out with the people he loves.Charlie absolutely benefits from having another confident, well-adjusted dog around. He takes his cues from canine friends and becomes much braver when he has a buddy to show him the ropes. He’s submissive with other dogs and enjoys playing once he’s comfortable. He’s also cat-friendly - in fact, if a cat tells him to back off, he happily listens! For now, Charlie’s ideal home is a quiet, adult-only home with a secure fenced yard and at least one stable, confident dog to help him continue building confidence. His crate is his safe place, and he’s doing wonderfully with house training when kept on a consistent schedule and crated when unsupervised.Charlie isn’t looking for someone to “fix” him. He’s looking for someone who will celebrate every little victory, let him move at his own pace, and show him that the world can be a kind place. Watching a shy dog learn to trust is one of the most rewarding journeys there is - and Charlie is worth every step.Charlie is ready for the next chapter of his story - he just needs someone willing to write it with him.If you’d like to take Charlie home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $400 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. August is a certified low-rider with a big personality packed into one irresistibly adorable little package. This 4-month-old Doxie/Jack Russell/Beagle mix is equal parts playful explorer and professional cuddle buddy. Whether he`s carrying around a favorite toy, heading out for a walk, chewing on a teething bone, or curling up for snuggles after a busy day, August is happiest when he`s spending time with his people. He absolutely loves kids, gets along well with other dogs, and has all the goofy, lovable energy you`d expect from a growing puppy who`s excited to discover the world.Like any young pup, August is still learning the ropes. He`s making great progress with house training, is crate training, walks nicely on a leash, and is ready for a family that will help him continue building good manners. One area he`s especially working on is sharing high-value items like favorite toys and food. He`s already improving every day with consistency and positive guidance, and he`s shown that he`s eager to learn. With patience, structure, and lots of love, August has all the ingredients to grow into a wonderful lifelong companion who will bring plenty of laughter, adventures, and snuggles to his forever family. If you’d like to take this pupper home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. Story
June is the total puppy package: sweet, playful, and impossible to resist, especially once you notice her adorable heart-shaped nose. This 4-month-old Doxie/Jack Russell/Beagle mix has the long, low body of a Dachshund, a constantly wagging tail, and a personality that strikes the perfect balance between fun and easygoing. She loves kids, gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, and is always ready for an adventure, whether that means going for a walk, playing with toys, or curling up for snuggles after a busy day. June has an even-tempered personality that makes her a joy to be around, and she`s sure to bring plenty of smiles wherever she goes.Like any young puppy, June is still learning the basics. She`s making progress with house training and crate training, walks nicely on a leash, and will benefit from a family that`s excited to continue teaching her good manners and basic obedience. She also has a classic puppy hobby: chewing on just about everything! Plenty of appropriate chew toys, consistency, and positive guidance will help her through this normal stage as she grows. With her affectionate nature, playful spirit, and eager-to-learn attitude, June is ready to become a beloved member of a lucky family. If you’d like to take this pupper home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application.
