CURLY Breed: hound-beagle mix Age: 1 year Weight: 55 pounds Adoption Fee: $275 Vetting Status: neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed and maintained on heartworm preventatives ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Curly is a super social, kissy, big guy. He adores all his doggie friends, large & small. Although he has not been tested with children, we suspect that he would absolutely love to have kids to play with! Curly originally came into rescue labeled a beagle/beagle mix & has grown into his puppy legs, proving to be more of a hound mix in size. He is crate trained, housetrained & OK on a leash.... though he would much prefer to run crazy in your fenced backyard. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CURLY is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore. An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit. ~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption!

Rowdy is a little shy with new people. Shes great with all dogs she meets and would be best on a home with another dog to help her adjust. Rowdy is curious in new situations, but life up until recently, hasnt been kind to her..... so she will need time to get comfortable and then her true goofy nature will emerge! Like a butterfly, Rowdy is a much different pup than when she 1st came to us from the pound, with no hope of getting out :( UNTIL the rescue chick saw me and knew i was a diamond in the RUFF ;) Rowdy needs a patient home who will give her time to warm up, open up & trust. Older kids only would be best for her and a fully fenced yard is a must. Until she settles in she'll be an escape risk. An apartment would work for Rowdy as well. She is ready for her furever family!! Apply soon! Local adoption fee is $300(in TX)

Story
Amber has not had an easy life. This sweet girl was found in a field with 3 other dogs, along the Texas/Mexico border. The difference with her is – she was producing milk and had obvious puppies somewhere. To the devastation of all of us, we found out somebody had taken her puppies, and left Amber behind. Amber was heartbroken. She had tons of milk, was very motherly, and had no puppies to mother or take care of. You could see the heartbreak she had. Over time, Amber has overcome that tragedy, and has turned into the sweetest, most loving girl. Amber is approximately 4 years old and weighs 42 lbs, despite she could stand to lose a few lbs. She looks to be a beagle mix with her small body and shorter legs, but is not vocal like one. A fun quirk about Amber is if you go to pick her up, she rolls on her back and starts kicking out her little, stubby legs in excitement. She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES human contact and belly rubs. Amber loves other dogs but would be fine in a home without them. She sleeps next to the catio and has no issues with cats! She is very laid back and just the sweetest girl. Amber absolutely loves everyone she meets. She is very submissive and very gentle. Amber is crate and house trained. When you baby talk Amber, she starts dancing around in excitement. SHE LOVES BEING BABY TALKED TOO. An ideal home for Amber is one that wants a cuddle buddy and is calmer. She loves being next to her human and relaxing more than anything else. A must for Amber: cuddling and belly scratches. If you want a great apartment dog, a loyal partner and a dog that is more relaxed than most, please consider Amber. Amber is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We ONLY do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed ($525) INCLUDES transport from Texas to the Northeast. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany, NY Wells, VT and Brattleboro, VT Nashua, NH – Only one transport company goes here, times vary Willington, CT - Stamford, CT - Dayville, CT Steubenville, OH – Cincinnati, OH – Grove City, OH Grove City, PA and Washington, PA Ridgefield, NJ and Mt Laurel, NJ Emmitsburg, MD and Elkton, MD Falls Church, VA and Glenn Allen, VA We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home. With an approved application, we do put you in touch with the Texas foster who has the doggy for you to make sure the pup is the perfect fit

Story
Brittany is an 11 year old female tri-color beagle. She is very sweet. We don’t want to have to rehome her and her “brother” but my wife is battling stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. We do not have the time or money to care for her the way she deserves as doctor appointments and hospital visits for my wife are plentiful and unannounced which leaves them with no one to care for them.

Story
Oliver is an 11 year old male beagle mixed with another breed we think might be yellow lab. He is a very sweet and excited boy and we adopted him when he was 5. We don’t want to have to rehome him but we can not provide him with the attention and care he deserves as my wife is battling stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, the doctors appointments and hospital visits for my wife are plentiful and sometimes unannounced which leaves both him and his sister Brittany at home without anyone to care for them. This is not safe for them and so we have come to the hard decision that we must find someone to give them the love and care we cannot.

Story
Meet Janie! 7 years old | Reisterstown, MD Some dogs bounce back quickly after change… Janie is quietly learning how to heal. After losing both her dog sibling and, shortly after, her beloved owner, Janie’s entire world changed. Everything familiar — her home, routine, and sense of security — disappeared. Now, this gentle girl is looking for a soft place to land and a family willing to help her feel safe again. Janie is the definition of a sweet, easygoing companion. She may not immediately climb into your lap for attention, but she has slowly started seeking out gentle affection on her own terms — and those little moments feel incredibly special. Once she trusts you, her quiet love shines through. Janie’s Favorites & Personality •Low-energy, calm companion •Loves car rides •Enjoys chewing on bones and frozen Kongs •Likes soft toys and cozy naps •Gentle, kind, and quietly affectionate The Basics • Mostly house trained • Dog-friendly (and would love a dog companion!) • Great with kids, including visiting nieces and nephews • Walks nicely on leash • Happy to sleep in bed with her people Janie truly seems happiest with another dog nearby and people around more often. She currently spends long stretches crated and manages, but it causes her anxiety — she would thrive in a home where someone is home more frequently or has a flexible/work-from-home schedule. Janie’s Dream Home • A fenced yard to safely explore and sniff around • A friendly resident dog for companionship • A family home more often than not • Patient adopters willing to let her settle in at her own pace Janie doesn’t need much — just kindness, patience, and a family willing to give her time to bloom again. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who will quietly steal your heart, Janie may be your perfect match.
