CURLY Breed: beagle Age: 11 weeks Weight: 10 pounds Adoption Fee: $375 Vetting Status: neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed and maintained on heartworm preventatives ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ April showers bring... Three Stooges? Larry, Curly & Moe are a pint sized trio of beagle-tude, each ready to bring laughs as a solo act. The Stooges are 11 weeks old, crate trained, & working on their potty skills. They are super sweet, sassy, & smart. Larry is the brainy one. Curly the super social, kissy, big guy. Moe is the adorable, quiet wallflower... so somewhat the reverse of his more famous namesake. They will be ready for new homes in late April. We encourage you to submit an adoption application ASAP if interested, as we expect them to be adopted quickly!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CURLY is available for adoption through K-9 Rescue of the Eastern Shore. An adoption process is required to include filling out an online adoption application available at the following link -- https://www.k9rescuees.org/info/adoption Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit. ~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE ~ All of our rescue members are volunteers with many obligations. While we may not be capable of immediate response, we will respond to all inquiries and application submissions as soon as possible. Thank you for thinking adoption!

Story
Roscoe is a 5 year old beagle. He is house trained, knows his name well, all shots up to date. He is not neutered but is well mannered and at one point was a hunter. Because he was trained to hunt he doesn’t bark obsessively like most beagles. Roscoe loves to cuddle, try to make friends with cats, and run! He does well with some other dogs, although an attack at the dog park has left him guarded and unsure about other dogs. Especially dogs bigger than himself. With older children he is great, he loves their attention and will play with honestly anyone. He hasn't spent about 6 months with an infant and did relatively okay. Roscoe loves the outdoors, even if just sitting on the porch outside is where he wants to be. Because of his earlier training, he is relatively easy to teach new things. He has been well cared for and loved and we are looking for a new home that will continue to love and care for him.

Story
Introducing Gambit - the name's not just a coincidence; it's a testament to my ability to shape my destiny. Just like my Marvel/X-Men namesake, I've overcome my past and now look forward to a brilliantly bright future. My journey started in a rather somber place - a lonely field next to a gas station. Thankfully, kind souls would drop by, leaving me food and their hopes for a better life. One day, a persistent and resourceful lady decided to play her "pawn" and orchestrated my escape from that grim existence. Since then, I've been living with her and her doggy (and human) family. But now, I'm eagerly searching for my own forever family. Let's talk quirks. I'm a cheerful guy, but I've got some personal space boundaries. I'm protective of my face, so a home with adults or older, dog-savvy kids is my ideal match. I'm also a bit of a goofball and adore the company of other dogs. Now, I might not instantly become your best buddy; I take time to trust and get comfortable in my surroundings. But trust me, the patience will be worth it. I'm brimming with love and loyalty, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Here's the good news - I'm house and crate trained, proving that, yes, young dogs can indeed learn new tricks. Oh, and there's more - I'm pretty chill around cats, though a gentle introduction is wise. And I've been curious and respectful around a human baby, so that's a plus. One thing to note, though, is that I've had some reservations around men. Despite two years together, I haven't quite warmed up to my human's fianc and have snapped at him a few times. So, it might be best if I find a home without men. During a short stay with Kathy, I was a little shy but kept to myself. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a dash of X-Men flair and you're ready to give me the chance I deserve, let's make it happen. I can't wait to meet you and start this exciting new chapter together! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is a courtesy posting. Please call 410-627-6563 for information about adopting Razzle.  Razzle is a gorgeous, elegant American Foxhound. She is a very sweet girl who loves to play but will happily settle in to watch TV and nap on the couch with her person. She likes to play with other submissive dogs (40 pounds or heavier) but can be protective of her people with other dogs. Razzle would be fine as an only dog as long as she gets plenty of exercise. She also gets along with cats. She is not destructive and is house broken. For Razzle to thrive, she needs a stable, quiet home. In return she will shower you with love and devotion. Razzle requires a yard with a physical fence where she can run and play safely. She needs a home without children as she gets anxious with all the activity that comes with children and their friends. Razzle’s adopter must have previous dog experience as an adult. **Please note: We are only able to adopt within 30-40 miles of Baltimore, MD. For more information on our adoption policies and procedures, please go to http://www.petrescueofmd.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 20, 2024, 12:29 pm

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Ruger is 3yo, weighs 28lbs, is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, but is not microchipped.  Ruger's guardian adds:  "He's the best snuggle buddy and would love to be able to sleep in bed with you!  Daily walks are a must, he needs some adventure time before cuddling on the couch.  He can't be left unattended for even a minute in a fenced yard because he will very quickly dig out!  He does well during car rides, but dislikes/fears crates and being left alone.  NOTE:  A requirement of his adoption will be enrolling him in a training program with a professional dog trainer.  Beagle experience would be great!" Ruger's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him: "I took Ruger in 2 years ago and soon realized his previous owner gave him no training what so ever.  I’ve been struggling with him in my home because I have other dogs that feed off of his wild child energy and it’s causing a lot of issues within my pack.  Which is making it even more difficult to train him." Ruger's guardian offers a brief a medical history:  "He is currently taking fluoxetine for separation anxiety." Ruger's guardian states the following regarding children:  Although Ruger has lived with children (currently with a small baby, formerly with children 1-9yo), his guardian doesn't recommend his living with children, stating: "He’s affectionate with kids but will steal their food.  He also sometimes growls when you move him when he’s laying down, he’s never bitten or snapped, but that may scare a child.  Children visiting would be fine but a child free home would probably be best." Ruger's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Ruger lives with dogs, so his guardian recommends his living with dogs, stating "He will howl at dogs outside the home and on walks.  Does fine with proper introduction". Ruger's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Ruger lives with cats, so his guardian recommends his living with cats, stating "He might howl if he sees one outside but leaves my cats alone". Ruger's guardian describes him as: Very active Barks alot Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Always at your side Indoor dog Likes men Likes women Separation anxiety Digger Ruger's guardian describes his ideal future home: "Ruger's perfect home would be a less busy household (without other dogs or maybe just 1 other dog) where he can have more time committed to just him. Someone that can provide him better structure that he needs and he’d greatly benefit from a good training program because he’s smart and willing to learn."  Rehoming Fee:  None Location:  Edgewood, MD***** ADOPTION PROCESS  1. Story
Are you ready for a new, loyal best friend? Olive is your girl! She’s a 12-year-old Beagle who is happy, active, and loves to be around people and other dogs. Olive arrived at FLFO weighing 61 pounds. Her owner surrendered her because they said she wasn’t eating and could no longer get up on her own. Well, no wonder! She was 20 pounds overweight! And we have never seen Olive turn down a meal. In fact, one of her favorite pastimes is to graze the back yard for bunny droppings! Olive loves to take hikes in the park and walks through the neighborhood. She’s lost 14 pounds so far and it brought back her vitality. Olive has no health issues. Olive is looking for a home who will continue with her weight loss journey by providing her with healthy meals and lots of exercise. She also would love to have a canine friend to play with but not necessary. Olive knows sit and up (beg), walks nicely on a leash, and gives gentle kisses. She could use a little work on her treat taking skills, however. She’s very exuberant about her food! Because she can be protective of anything she thinks is food, we do not recommend Olive around small children. FLFO requires a home visit therefore adopters must be within 40 miles of Baldwin MD.

Story
Woof! Hey there, I’m Snoop, the ultimate canine companion you’ve been searching for! If you’re looking for a dog who’s as friendly as they come, well, you’ve hit the jackpot with me. First things first, let’s talk about my personality. I’m basically a walking ray of sunshine! Whether you’re young or young-at-heart, human or furry, I get along with everyone (although I don’t have much experience with cats and have not made up my mind about them). Seriously, put me in a room full of strangers, and I’ll make friends with every single one before you can say “fetch!” Now, let’s talk skills. I am a pro at “sit,” getting belly rubs, and cuddling on the couch for Netflix binges. I also am very calm and mild-mannered when waiting for my human to feed me. When I’m not charming the socks off everyone I meet, you’ll probably find me running around my backyard, sniffing and exploring, and chasing squirrels up trees. I love to take walks with my human around the block twice a day – my daily walk is my version of reading the newspaper! One thing I love maybe a little too much is my stuffed animals. Sometimes I get so carried away that I eat the fabric and try to eat the squeakers, which can be very dangerous for my intestinal system. So, I have to be supervised with my toys and only given stuffies that I won’t rip to shreds immediately! A long time ago, I hurt my leg and it caused both my knee and hip to be bad. Because of that, they had to remove it, but no worries, I have three others! I get around just fine for the most part (going down stairs sometimes can be a bit tricky) and don’t really miss it. So, what do you say? Ready to welcome a lovable goofball like me into your home? Come on down to meet me, Snoop, and let’s start our adventure together. I promise, your days will be brighter with a Snoop by your side! My Profile Age and weight: I'm 5 years old and weigh 28 pounds Good with kids: Yes Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Fenced yard: Preferred Suitable for townhouse and/or apartment: Yes, as long as there aren't too many stairs House trained: Yes. Crate trained: Yes Barks when left alone: I’ll bark when you leave, but then I’ll settle down Chews inappropriate items: No Training: I know sit, but my foster mom says I need to work on other commands, like come when called Activity level: Medium Special needs: I'm a tripod, so have a little trouble going down stairs. Meet Me If you are interested in Snoop, consider letting us know by filling out a (no-obligation) adoption application at pgspca.org. Please consult our Adoption FAQ before contacting us. Please check the adoption-show-attendees page to see if Snoop will be attending the next adoption show. NOTE: We are an all volunteer group and do not operate a shelter. All of our animals are in foster homes. We are unable to place our animals outside of the Baltimore/DC area.

Story
Rootbeer, affectionately known as Rooty, is a sweet boy with little legs and a big heart. He has a lot of energy and loves to expel it through toys and playgroup sessions with his buds. Due to his high energy and jumpy behavior, it's recommended that he goes to a home with older children. Rootbeer is housebroken, crate trained, and educated-he knows sit, wait (for food), to get in his crate, and waits/sits at crosswalks. Rooty's favorite pastime is sitting on laps and getting cuddles; he loves to cuddle and is a true love bug.
