Want a dog to stay cool with you in the heat this summer? Look no further than Phineas -- a true-to-his-breed beagle who loves a sniffari around the neighborhood and romping around in the yard.
This sweet boy loves to eat, play, and sleep next to his foster dog brother Griff and other foster dog sisters. When he's not having fun with the other dogs, you can find him practicing his world-class snuggles on top of his humans on the couch.
Easygoing Phineas is crate trained, loving his cozy spot through the night and during the day when his foster humans are not in the house. He's learning the word "come" and is doing great with house training.
Apply today to meet Phineas -- this light colored beauty is bound to steal your heart!

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
