Story
If you love the sharp intelligence, loyalty, and spirited personality of the Schipperke, Stitch might be your perfect match. At 7 years old, he is in his prime adult stride—he has outgrown puppy chaos, but he still has plenty of energy for daily walks, exploring, and engaging with his person. While 7, he remains spirited and eager for daily walks and activity. Our bustling family environment (now with a surprise pregnancy due soon) is simply too busy and overstimulating for a sensitive spitz. With so many competing demands, we cannot give him the dedicated exercise, routine, and 1-on-1 engagement he needs, which has led to stress-related tension and indoor accidents when his main routine is disrupted. He will thrive with: - An active individual or couple who enjoys regular walks and wants a devoted, smart companion - A handler experienced with alert, one-person breeds who can offer clear structure and lots of quality time.

Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. RITA is an absolutely sweet and easy-going female. She definitely is mixed breed but her body style and size is that of a Patterdale Terrier… a breed from Northern England bread to be strong and sturdy…capable of withstanding cold, wet, and windy weather. Rita is just that…She is 30# but not very large or tall. The phone app scanned her picture suggests that she could be part Schipperke, too. She is 7 yrs old but often acts like a puppy when running and playing with the rest of the dogs. She is calm and quiet and loves attention. She is easy on the leash; rides well in in the car. She also totally leaves my 4 cats alone. She would be good as a companion with walks around the block or visits to the lake. I would not put her with playful children. I don’t believe she’d do anything other than go to a different room. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You will receive the dog's folder with all the printouts proving the medical treatments received. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." Adoption Fee: Includes all of the vetting and transportation. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
