He is in incredibly affectionate and playful with his people and loves being close by. Due to his shyness, he would do best in a home with adults or dog-savvy kids ages 12+ only. If we had to summarize Jesse in one word it would be joyful. Jesse LOVES to go for walks, to roll around on the couch and get belly rubs. He likes playing with plushy toys and snuggling into his blanket or dog bed. He also loves chasing balls, the bigger the better. We think Jesse is a big dog is a small dog's body. Jesse is NOT a first time adopter dog. His ideal family would be a single person or couple with dog experience. Jesse would prefer to be the only animal in the family, but we don't think that is too much to ask. Jesse has so much love to give and will thrive in the right home! Jesse is UTD on vaccines, microchipped and neutered. Applications are being accepted and qualified applicants will be contacted. Half of Jesse's adoption fee is sponsored by a Jelly's volunteer.

Fourteen small dogs are beginning fresh chapters after being rescued together from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in Stockton, where more than 30 dogs were living in severe neglect and unsanitary conditions. These precious pups — a mix of Maltese mixes, Chihuahua mixes, and Terrier mixes — have endured far more than any dog ever should. Many arrived with severe matting and painful urine burns, and we’re getting them all to the groomer to finally feel clean, comfortable, and cared for.
