❗Current location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ Meet Teddy👋 This sweet and gentle boy was rescued just in time from the euthanasia list and began his new chapter at a shelter in April 2025. Despite everything he’s been through, Teddy has a warm heart and a loving spirit. He’s now fully ready to leave his past behind and find a forever home where he can truly belong. He has been living in a foster home since July. • Personality: Gentle, Calm, Sweet • Affinity with - Dogs: Gentle around other dogs - Cats: Not tested - Adults/Kids: Good with new people, including men / Not tested with kids, but we assume he would be good with all gentle people! • Housetrained: Will need housetraining in a new environment • Walking Manners: Super gentle on a leash as if he had experience in the past. • Bathing/Brushing: Good with both • Separation Anxiety: None at the current shelter, but poodles tend to have some level of separation anxiety once they build bond with people. • Barks/Howls: None • Car Rides: Comfortable with car rides. • Appetite/Food Allergies: No food allergies found so far • Likes/Dislikes: Likes to play with a ball! • Shedding level (1~10): 1-2 • Health: He has a yeast infection in the ears, which is one of the most common types of ear infections, often related to allergies. This usually improves with a bit of care—feeding him an allergy-friendly diet and cleaning his ears at home with ear drops every three days.

Story
We want to tell you about Sabrina's journey. Sabrina came to us in excruciating pain. She was found bleeding out on a sidewalk and was brought to the county shelter. She had a shattered right leg and her left leg was pulled away from her chest wall. She was sepsis at that point as well. We got the call and didn't hesitate. We rushed her to our "go to" vet, Dr. Bill Avra Forsyth Animal Hospital. The team cleaned her up, discovering many puncture wounds. When she woke up the first thing she did was eat and we knew she was going to recover. We brought her back to rescue so she could rest and decompress. We got an opinion on the left leg and the following week had the right leg removed and secured the left shoulder/leg to her body to hopefully heal. Within a few days she was up on the left leg and walking around. Sabrina is a miracle dog. After recovering from that surgery, another was on the horizon. We gave Sabrina about 6 weeks to heal from the right leg removal and scheduled her for spay and tumor removal. The tumor was cancer, but it is a low grade and slow growing. Sabrina is ready for her forever home now. Although she's young, at about 5 years old, she won't be an active girl as a tripod and the other front leg not 100%. She'll enjoy tooling around outside and spending time sitting near or in the lap of her person(s). Sabrina was attacked by something large to have shattered one leg and pulled the other from her body. We will never know how long the injury happened before she dragged herself to the sidewalk for help. The person that adopts Sabrina will be given so much love and loyalty. Sabrina is not just a special needs girl she's simply very, very, special.

Story
A HANDSOME & HAPPY GUY:  Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 29 lbs. Hi, my name’s Riley!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and – though a bit nervous – I am learning that I am in a safe place with lots of love.  Now, I hear it is time for me to find a family of my very own to love and be loved by.  That sounds GREAT to me! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and wasn’t quite ready to play or a fan of having my hind sniffed, but I also didn’t show any aggression, so if you have a dog already, let’s meet and see if we can be friends! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a friendly boy with a pretty gentle nature – you just need to go slowly with me and give me time to decompress, as the volunteers have done.  They describe me as ‘an absolute love’ who looks like a lamb.  I was a perfect angel for my bath and brushing – only one instance of growling/lunging at a volunteer who held out their hand to me when on a walk.  Maybe I was startled or felt not in control on my leash?  It is not my usual easy going demeanor, so perhaps a one off event.  Happy and easy going, I am sure to bring lots of love to my new home. / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I am learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  So far, I know the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’ and ‘leave it’ commands.  I bet you can teach me even more. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  Though nervous when I first arrived, I am a confident pup now with a love for people and exploring.  When out and about, I enjoy letting my sniffer take the lead as I check out the world around me. Giving and receiving affection when back in my room makes me a happy guy.  I also love to play and am happy when the volunteers break out the toys for a fun play session. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a great home with  a loving family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  June 30, 2025, 9:13 am
