Story
Comet was being Euthanized by his owners, he was with one family 8 years. When they moved from a house to an apartment he became anxious and not when trying to get him from under the bed. Comet has been in my house ever since while I try to find him a new home. He's been through behavioral training and would do best in a home with not other pets, he is a very young 8 year old and having a nice walk everyday keeps him healthy and happy. He enjoys chasing squirrels and acting like a dog. He's actually a great protector and would do great with an active owner . He is neutered,microchipped, UTD on shots and on HW and flea prevention. Here's a version that sounds more like a rescue telling his story and less like a polished adoption ad: Thacker is an AKC-registered Miniature Poodle who somehow found himself being passed from family to family before finally landing somewhere safe. When he arrived at Flying B, he was underweight and suffering from one of the worst skin conditions we've seen in a long time. The good news? Our veterinary team believes his condition is the result of neglect and a lack of basic care, not chronic allergies or a lifelong medical issue. With proper nutrition, treatment, and a little time, Thacker should make a full recovery. And despite everything he's been through, Thacker hasn't lost his spark. He's smart, affectionate, playful, and completely house trained. He has excellent manners in the home and is the kind of dog who just seems to know how to fit into a family. He's friendly with other dogs but doesn't need to be the center of attention—he's perfectly content to coexist and do his own thing. Honestly, Thacker is the real deal. The hard part of his story is behind him, and now he's ready for the life he should have had all along: a family that sees him as a forever commitment, not a temporary stop along the way.
