Hi, I’m Loki. I am a one year old, cream colored Lab/Shar Pei mix, around 50 lbs. I prefer hanging with adults, so I’d be a better fit in a house without little kids. I’m a bit of a leaner … okay maybe I’m a huge leaner but I love to cuddle when you pat me. I like playing with other pups, and I really like the ladies (wink, wink). I have medium energy, so it would be great if my new family has a yard. I’m working on my manners, house and crate training. My foster mom thinks I’m really smart. I already know how to walk on a leash and LOVE car rides. Are you looking for that very special boy to join your family? I’m right here and can’t wait to meet you. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Have you ever heard on the TV, well a hoarder's house has been raided and ... animals have been seized and sent to the pound or rescue organizations in the area.... WELL, we are FROM just that kind of situation :( The good thing is we were SAVED... the bad thing is that we had to ENDURE the neglect and disgusting home. The BEST thing is we were ALL SAVED by a rescue group who REFUSED to leave even ONE behind...... 30 dogs/pups ALL AT ONCE has been taxing and motivating for the rescuers. If you watch our video, the situation was very very challenging but our rescuers worked their butts off to save us. We are almost all ready for adoption, all the pups are social and ready for their furever homes! The young adults and adults are a little more shy but have been working really hard with our rescuers to be ready for YOU!! We are a unique "breed" mix, lol. Aunts/Uncles/Parents/SIblings... all "living" together. We have Shar Pei, Scruffy dogs, Pit Bull, and maybe Spaniel mixed in there :D We are all pretty much medium sized, 20-50# and cute as HECK!! This is "Goldie". Goldie is about 90% an English Bulldog and the rest maybe American Bully. She has all the characters of an English Bulldog. Goldie is about 6 years old and weighs about 46 pounds. Goldie comes to us with a sad story. Goldie and 2 other dogs (not related) were left behind in an apartment because their owners had no means to take care of them any longer. Someone did take the dogs from the apartment but had no place of his own to go with them. So he was desperate to find a place for these dogs. This is where we came in. We took Goldie. The other 2 dogs were taken by another rescue. All 3 dogs were not starving and they were in good health. Goldie was a little confused at first, understandably so. She is doing much better. Goldie is a sweet dog and she even looks sweet! She is calm, she sits when told and she gives her paw when asked. Goldie is a very good dog. In fact, Goldie is a great dog! Goldie gets along with other dogs and it looks like she gets along with cats. In Goldie's new home, children must be 14 years old or older. You MUST own your own home. You MUST own your own condo. Absolutely no apartments. Goldie came to us already spayed. She went to our veterinarian and she got her shots and tested negative for heartworm. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. The adoption fee for Goldie is $100.00 if you are the perfect family with an excellent veterinarian reference. No credit cards. 🐾 ASSISTED PLACEMENT — MEET NASH ❤️ SDBP CT Rescue is currently assisting Nash's family in finding an appropriate new home. Nash remains with his current family and has not yet been formally taken into SDBP CT Rescue. However, if we can secure an appropriate foster or foster-to-adopt home for Nash, we would gladly take him on as an SDBP CT Rescue dog and help him through this transition. ❤️ Sometimes a dog can be deeply loved and still find himself in an environment that is no longer the best fit for him. That's where Nash is today. Nash is an Australian Shepherd mix whose home environment has changed considerably with the addition of a new baby and another very energetic dog. There have been a few incidents of tension between Nash and the other dog, and his family understandably doesn't feel comfortable taking chances with a small child now in the home. As a result, Nash is currently spending much of his time separated from the household, and this isn't the long-term life anyone wants for him. His family has reached out to several rescues looking for help, but the reality is one we're seeing everywhere: rescues are full and foster homes are incredibly hard to find. And that's really the missing piece for Nash. 🏡 WE NEED A PLACE FOR NASH TO LAND We're looking for: ❤️ An adopter — someone ready to give Nash his permanent home. 🐾 A foster-to-adopt home — someone interested in Nash who would like the opportunity to make sure he's the right fit. 🏠 A committed foster — someone willing to open their home to Nash while SDBP CT Rescue takes him on and works toward finding his forever family. We've had the opportunity to personally meet Nash, and our experience with him was very positive. He was friendly and approachable, confident but relaxed, happy to interact with us, and walked very nicely on leash. 🐾 WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT NASH 🐶 Australian Shepherd mix ✂️ Neutered ❤️ Microchipped 🐾 Friendly and approachable with people 🦮 Walks nicely on leash 😌 Confident but relatively relaxed from our personal interaction with him 🐕 Has done well with some dogs, although there have been reactions toward the other dog currently in his home 🚫 No cats 🚫 No small children 💉 Will be brought up to date on vaccinations once appropriate placement is secured We believe Nash would benefit tremendously from a calmer, more predictable environment where he can settle into a routine and enjoy the later years of his life. Could Nash potentially live with another dog? Possibly. Because he has done well with some dogs, we don't want to automatically label him as needing to be an only dog. Any resident dog would need to be an appropriate match, with thoughtful introductions to make sure everyone is comfortable. Nash isn't currently an SDBP intake—but we're willing to change that if someone is willing to give him the safe place to land that he needs. We have the rescue. We have the willingness to help. What we need is the home. ❤️ If you've been considering fostering, this is exactly why foster homes are so incredibly important. Opening your home doesn't just help a dog already in rescue—it can sometimes give a rescue the ability to say YES to a dog they otherwise don't have room to take.
