In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions.We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay online until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peaks your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 50-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.

Ollie is a young, active boy who loves to run around with other dogs. He enjoys attention from people. He gets along great with kids too. He would love an active family where ample exercise and mental stimulation will be provided. He wouldn't mind cleaning the floor under a highchair as his full-time job. He is being trained to walk on leash using a gentle leader. He is the best at it and would love to show you how well he does! He has visited our local assisted living center and just wanted to hug all of the residents and staff he met. He wants to please and is a good listener and a very sweet boy.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. MacAurther After surviving his entire family being euthanized by animal control in his county and testing positive for heartworms he is very eager to find his forever humans.He is super fun and has the personality to match.He loves walks and loves giving kisses,And you can look at his handsome mug and see the love this little survivor has.He was left alive for a reason and that reason is obvious as soon as you meet him.He does like to play rough and really needs a big dog pal to equal his tenacity and energy.He listens like a semi stubborn bulldog but with no malice or ill intent, just goofy innocence.He is breed specific so I encourage anyone inquiring to research it a bit and understand the nature of his breed.
