Midnight is a 3-year-old sweet girl who is very affectionate and seeks out human companionship. She’s been soaking up every bit of love she receives in foster care and is truly thriving now that she’s had a few days to rest in a home environment. Midnight is a low-energy gal, but we expect her confidence and energy to blossom as she settles in. For now, she’s happiest lounging on her dog bed or relaxing in the sunshine. She takes treats very gently, responds beautifully to praise, and is showing signs of being a quick learner—she loves knowing she’s a “good girl” and beams with pride when she hears it. She is showing positive, friendly body language towards dogs. She has walked alongside the resident dog & met him safely behind a baby gate with no issues. With proper introductions, she seems like she could happily coexist with another respectful dog. Midnight is housebroken, walks well on a leash, and sleeps quietly through the night in her crate. She also crates comfortably when her foster family is away. If you have a dog at home, we recommend bringing them to the shelter for a meet-and-greet to ensure it’s a great match! (Please bring proof of up-to-date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines.) If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who just wants to be close, Midnight is ready to brighten your life with her soft heart and sweet spirit. She would be a good fit for a slower paced individual or family. She’s soaking up love right now—but she’s ready to share it with her forever family.
