Story
Our Luna Bear is such a love. It breaks our heart to rehome her but she needs attention and care that we cant provide her. We have thought this through tremendously. We have a baby girl and Luna will give her kisses on the feet and is concerned when she cries but also gives a growl anytime the baby comes to her and it concerns us. Weve been keeping them seperated for now. Luna has high anxiety and honestly needs alot of attention. Someone who is home alot who can give her the attention she deserves. She is the most loving and loyal pup. If you are upset she will be right by your side for cuddles and kisses. She would be good with older kids just not small energetic ones. If you have another dog it must be male (she likes to be alpha so typically doesnt like female dogs) She would love walks and any type of exercise. She also loves to lounge around too Please give her a chance.

Story
Greetings, I'm Mint, an 8-month-old girl with a mix. My journey began when I was just a 2-week-old baby, arriving at the city shelter along with my seven siblings and loving Mom. I bring a delightful and sociable spirit with me. One of my brothers found a loving home in Seattle through fostering, and it was love at first sight for his foster family. We're a charming bunch! Yet, the rest of my siblings, including myself, are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. All of us are a delightful blend of friendly, funny, and undeniably cute. Strength? That's a matter of perspective. I consider myself innocent and gentle, always eager for playful adventures. Food is a joy, but I'm no guard—sharing with friends is more my style. My energy level is moderate, and I enjoy playtime with pals while maintaining a calm demeanour indoors. Petting me is a breeze, and my wobbly tail is a testament to my happiness. I'm the epitome of cheerfulness—always ready with a wagging tail, especially when making eye contact. If you're in search of a bright and cheerful companion, look no further—meet me and let's create a beautiful bond! Story
Hello, I'm Bay, an adorable 8-month-old SharPei mix boy eagerly awaiting my forever home. My journey began at the city shelter when I was just a 2-week-old baby, accompanied by my loving Mom and seven siblings. While one of my seven siblings found a happy home through fostering, I and my other siblings are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. Each one of us embodies a friendly, funny, and endearing spirit. Picture this: lovely chocolate fur, long legs adorned with white socks, and eyes that exude innocence, much like a baby angel. I'm a social butterfly, adoring people so much that I'll gladly sit on a stranger's lap upon our first meeting. Playing with friends is a delight for me, and if I discover a cherished toy, I'll quietly retreat to a corner to enjoy it. My nature is gentle and kind; even if friends approach me while I'm with my toys, I'll simply relocate without any fuss or growls. If you're seeking a puppy friend to always bring a smile to your face and shower you with love, then I'm the perfect companion. Consider adopting me, and I promise to become a cherished and lovable member of your family. Let's create a beautiful bond and fill your home with joy and love together. Hello, I'm Cinamon, an adorable 8-month-old SharPei mix girl eagerly awaiting my forever home. My journey began at the city shelter when I was just a 2-week-old baby, accompanied by my loving Mom and seven siblings. We're a charming bunch! While one of my seven siblings found a happy home through fostering, my other siblings and I are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. Each one of us embodies a friendly, funny, and endearing spirit. I'm a social butterfly, adoring people so much. I allow strangers to touch or hug me. I'm a very nice, innocent soul. And I'm an extreme toy lover. If I have a toy I like, I go to the corner alone and play with it quietly without my friends knowing. I grew up in a shelter as a baby, so I have less experience. I still need to learn how to eat snacks. When I go for a walk, my tail goes down in unfamiliar places. I wish I had a family who could teach me the taste of delicious snacks and the joy of walking. I will be your lovely and good family member. I'm in a shelter in Korea and ready to fly anywhere in Seattle or Vancouver if you call my name. Scrappy was found on the side of the interstate by a friend and my family felt like we could give him a great home. In the last six months I have faced some major health setbacks and am not able to give scrappy the kind of life he deserves. He is a sweetheart and even does yoga poses!

Story
Oakvale is a beautiful, long-legged boy who loves to prance around in the play yard like a deer! He is exceptionally smart and is eager to please, which makes him fairly easy to train. This stoic boy takes treats gently and enjoys to stop and sniff on his walks. He could use a bit of leash training, but we think he'd learn quickly since he's so treat motivated. Oakvale very much enjoys playing fetch, especially when you trade a ball for the one he has! Oakvale went to short term foster and proved to be awfully affectionate/cuddly and housetrained. He did show some signs of separation anxiety in short-term foster, but he did not try to break out of the crate! With time, we think he'd settle nicely. Oakvale recently went on a Dog Day Out and here's what his DDO buddy had to say! "I took Oakvale on a Dog's Day Out today! Oakvale started out a little timid but he is now napping on the couch with my husband. Oakvale got to meet my dad and stepmom downtown and then had so much fun playing fetch at Sweetwater Court Private Dog Playground and Gardens! We had lunch at Freddy's and he enjoyed a pup cup. Oakvale went for a walk in our neighborhood and was well-behaved in our house while our dogs were resting in their crates. This boy has been searching for a home for almost 3 months and he is more than ready to be a sweet companion. - Affectionate (but may take a little time to warm up to you) - Pretty good walker-he pulled a little when we first got him out but overall not bad. Likes to stop and sniff. - Loves to fetch! When he brings the ball back sometimes he makes a funny snort - Good car rider-at times slightly hesitant about jumping in but he gets in on his own! Much of the time in the car with us he lay down and napped. - He was initially interested when we ate our lunch in the car but was polite and didn't bother us. - He loves to sit for a treat! - Oakvale is a very handsome fellow and has cute speckled ears!" Oakvale has shown that he can be dog selective. He gets nervous when crowded by dogs (so he prefers no doggie day care) or when a dog is reactive to him. He'd do best with a more laid back, submissive, and/or playful dog. As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
