Story
Loui came to us as a stray, he was found running loose out in the country. He was found by a family who had children with them and he did well with the children. He does well around other dogs. He does have a bit of trust issues with hands over the head. He loves to go on walks and to give hugs and kisses, he is normally pretty clean in his kennel.

Story
Poor Jane came to us in need of an emergency surgery. She had a pyometra, which for those who don’t know, is an infection of the uterus that can happen in females who are not spayed. It is fatal if an emergency spay is not performed to remove the infection. It took her some time, but sweet Jane has finally made her recovery and is ready for her next adventure. She has discovered a passion for chasing balls around in the play yard……. and biting trees for some reason. She was attacked by 2 other dogs in the past, so she has a lot of reservations around other dogs and is said to be reactive with them. Since she has been here, we have not had any issues, but a home without other dogs may be ideal for her. However, it may not be out of the question if there are multiple meet and greets and slow introductions. We are not sure how she does with cats or children. She loves to give kisses though! Jane has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has tested neg. for heartworm which is included in the adoption fee. If you would like to adopt this dog, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays)

Meet Corey! DOB: 4/17/26 Back Story: The Dynamic Duos Litter was born in a rural shelter on 4/17/26 and joined RESCUEDohio a couple days later. Possible Breeds: We’re guessing they may have some shar pei (based on mama’s looks) and lab, but we think they are probably a mix of several breeds. We don’t know who their dad was. Mutts are the best! Their mom weighs 40 lbs and she's an absolute sweetheart. The puppies definitely get their sweet nature from her! Personality: Named after everyone’s favorite Boy Meets World dreamer, this black-and-white girl is equal parts goofy and lovable. Corey has an adorable little hop when she gets excited and isn’t afraid to share her opinions with playful puppy grumbles along the way. She’s a blast to play with, but honestly, she’s just as entertaining to sit back and watch. With her silly antics and sweet personality, Corey has a way of making everything fun (and funny!). Adoption fee is $400. If you choose to return to our vet for the spay/neuter, the adoption fee will include the spay/neuter and the microchip. Whether he’s clumsily squeezing into a spot that’s way too small for him, rolling around with his siblings, or just hanging out and enjoying the good life, Phil is always good for a laugh. He’s sweet, easygoing, and the kind of puppy who will fit right into just about any family looking for a best friend with a little extra fluff and a lot of personality. Adoption fee is $400.
