Say hello to Daisy, the life of the party wrapped up in a sleek black coat and a tail that never clocks out. In playgroup, she’s the ultimate ringleader of zoomies, rallying her rowdy dog friends for nonstop fun and games. When people stop by her kennel, her tail doesn’t just wag—it goes full helicopter mode, like she’s ready for takeoff.Since heading to her foster home, Daisy has shown just how adaptable she can be. She’s eating normally, settling nicely into a routine, and enjoying daily walks—she recently conquered a 25-minute stroll and is still polishing up her leash manners. While she loves a good burst of zoomies and playful moments every couple of hours, much of the time she surprises everyone by behaving more like a laid-back senior than a nonstop puppy.Daisy has been accident-free in the home, almost never barks, and has excellent house manners. She doesn’t counter-surf, doesn’t beg, and is respectful with her belongings—chewing only on her toys and leaving everything else alone. When visitors stop by, she may get a little excited at first, but she settles quickly and is happy to soak up attention once the initial excitement passes. At night, Daisy is a champion snuggler, sleeping peacefully right by her foster’s head and even sleeping in after they’re up for the day. It’s hard to believe she’s the same dog who was once bouncing off the walls of her kennel—this girl truly shines in a home environment.If you’re looking for a joyful, affectionate dog who can balance playtime with relaxation, Daisy may be your perfect match. Story
 Super sweet Sophie is a 12 year old Lab Boxer mix that Paws and Prayers will allow to be adopted out under our Foster Hospice Program. She is a healthy 55lb dog, but because of her age we want to increase her chance of getting into a loving home! This means Paws and Prayers will pay for all food, medical needs and anything else that she may need to give her the best life possible. You would need to fill out our foster application at pawsandprayers.org. You are also welcome of course to just adopt Sophie!! So a regular non-obligatory adoption application would be required.  She did wonderful at the adoption event yesterday with many dogs and her tail was always wagging. Sophie was originally adopted from Paws and Prayers, but because of a change in life status, her family had to return her after being her only family for many many years. She absolutely loves people of all ages, will be a great couch snuggler, is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Any questions, email marty@pawsandprayers.org.  You must be approved by Paws and Prayers Pet Rescue and meet some criteria regarding caring for a dog for our Hospice Foster Program.      January 18, 2026, 12:04 pm
