Story
Sasha is an amazing female shar-pei that acts much younger than her age. She would love an active household that includes her in activities. Sasha is very smart and takes direction/correction well. She has been fostering as an only dog, but can be good with other dogs after appropriate slow introductions and does best with dogs that are neutral or not reactive. She has been on overnights to a friends' home with small dogs, but has had less exposure to larger dogs. This girl loves to please! She loves toys, walks on a leash/harness (but could use some more practice), knows "sit", "stay", "heel" and "come", and is potty trained. She is not used to being crated at her current foster home. She may briefly barky at strangers, but warms up quickly, particularly in her foster home. Strange dogs get an equally barky reception, but with guidance and time, we believe she's totally up for a four-legged bff, but would be just as happy or happier (?) as an only dog, getting all of your attention and love! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Sasha loves attention and hanging out in the yard. (She would really like a yard.) She will chase the occasional squirrel and loves to bird watch. She has a lot of energy and would love regular walks and fun. But she can be a snuggly couch companion, giving eskimo kisses, too! This girl is spayed, microchipped and is up to date on vaccines. She would do best in a home without small toddlers, but has been on sleepovers with kids aged 7+ without issue. Did we mention she is also drop dead gorgeous??? Sasha is fostering in Northern California (Napa area).June 23, 2024, 11:03 pm

Story
Daisy is an amazing 4 1/2 year old female shar pei that would fit into almost any home.    She is spayed, has had obedience training, and is full of fun and energy. Daisy loves the other foster dogs in her home (especially the males).    And she is all about the kisses with her foster parents.    Daisy met some cats when she was training and totally ignored them.  She knows commands such as sit, stay, place (to go to her mat or raised bed), come (sometimes she has selective hearing on this one) and others.   She is house-trained, crate-trained and is familiar with an electronic training collar and loves to please. Daisy would love a yard to run around in, always appreciates a good bone, loves toys and even goes to boarding on occasion when her foster parents do a weekend getaway.  The boarding place gives her very good reviews!     She would do  best in a home without small kids because she is a bit afraid of them and will bark and be nervous around them. Daisy is fostering in Oregon City, OR and weighs about 45 pounds.June 23, 2024, 11:03 pm

Story
Stubs is a fun-loving, happy, active, neutered male shar-pei. He has been neutered, has had entropion eyelid surgery and is looking for an active owner or family to go on adventures with! But don't worry, Stubs can amuse himself for hours with toys! He would love to play soccer or fetch, and would be a great running or hiking companion. As a bonus, he tested well with other dogs (or course wanting to play)! He was overlooked at a northern California shelter for too long and is now with Pei People! Stubs is about 57 pounds and up for any adventure. He would do best in a home with a yard or someone that exercises him regularly. Note that some of his photos show a long tail. His tail was amputated at the shelter after suffering from happy tail (he was so happy and wagging it would not heal from a wound). His tail is now a few inches long (think boxer length). Hence his name, Stubs! Stubs is fostering in the Portland, OR area.June 23, 2024, 11:03 pm

Story
This striking little Shar-pei/lab mix is Cecilia Cub brought into the program by our very own, Olga! Cecilia is right around a year old and weighs 45 lbs of pure love and sweetness! She has the absolutely cutest face and beautiful medium-length mocha colored coat! Her snout resembles a shar-pei and she is petite with long legs but like we always say … with rescue it’s just a guess! The cutest thing about this little angel pup … when she gets comfortable with her person/people she will do this adorable pitter pattering in her crate because she’s so excited to see you! She will lift her paw, begging to be let out of her crate so she can give lots of doggy hugs and kisses! She just wants to show you all the love! Cecilia is truly what love is made of! When you first meet her, she has this cute little series of hops, almost like a bunny, where she will jump to you then away from you trying to establish trust. She’s not fearful, it’s just her way of checking out new people as she needs time to warm up. If you sit or crouch she will immediately come to you … she feels more safe when you’re on her level. This precious girl just wants love and affections from her humans. She also displays the same hop/jump game when first meeting dogs - it’s almost like a game of tag and chase so she can make sure everything is a-ok! Cecilia is not a vocal dogs and rarely barks! She would do well in an apartment or condo as long as she received proper daily physical and mental stimulation. She is also completely house and crate trained. She rides well in the car and can easily get in and out on her own. She’d love to accompany her new person/people on errand runs and road trips! Cecilia walks so gently on leash! She’s still a young girl and can easily get sidetracked and stop to smell the roses! She’s treat motivated so continued training should be a breeze with this girl. She’s still young and very malleable so the sky’s the limit for sweet Cecilia! Shes such an amazing pup and so stable that our behavior team has been able to use her in assessments and playgroups consisting of dogs that vary in size (7 lbs to 90 lbs) and temperament. She’s an absolute rockstar and was even able to stay calm and keep her composure when a fight broke out in playgroup. This girl is truly the complete package and just needs the right home to call her own! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! Hi there! 🐾 I am SO happy to meet you!! I'm Bailey Bentley, a 2-year-old Shar Pei and American Bully mix with the sweetest eyes and an award-winning smile. 😊 I’m so eager to be your new best friend and lifelong companion. I have an amazing temperament that will surely win your heart if given the chance. I'm a gentle giant who absolutely loves scratches and affection. 🐶 I am happy to meet everyone and I’m wonderful with kids, I especially enjoy playtime with the 6-year-old boy in my current home, making me the perfect family pup. I also get along famously with dogs of all sizes and energy levels, showcasing my excellent social skills. 🐾 I would love to have siblings of my own. Despite my size, I’m very fearful of cats and would do best in a cat-free home. I’m currently adjusting well to living indoors and find comfort in my crate, preferring to sleep there at night. 🌙 Ongoing crate time will be best for me. I'm an adaptable pup who loves to be included in anything as long as I’m shown love. Whether it’s lounging at home, playing in the yard, taking a swim or going on new adventures, I’m happiest when I’m with my people. My award-winning smile is ready to light up your home. 😄 I'm looking for my forever family to make this smile a permanent fixture in their lives. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle giant with an amazing temperament to join your family, I’m your perfect match. I just can’t wait to fill your home with love. 🏡 Please email elizabethbower@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
Marlee is a fun name for a fun gal! I was living my life and having some fun, except no one got me "fixed" so the fun ended up with me being a single mother with 6 hungry mouths to feed!!! Who thinks that their fun will lead to months of feeding and my milk producers dragging on the ground :( I sure didn't... However, I LOVE MY BABIES!!! Now that they are on their own in foster homes, that is :) I am a fun gal, I love to play with my friends and I am great with other playful and fun dogs. I am a climber and a jumper so it may be why I was out playing in the first place.... but I digress... I am happy and sweet and I have the gorgeous soft, PLENTIFUL muzzle of a Shar Pei, with the energy of a lab or shepherd or who knows what other breed I am. I want a real family who will love me for all that I am, and I am A LOT!! Look me up and let's run off into the sunset :) ADOPT... DON'T SHOP!!! MY LIFE AND MY PUPPIES' LIVES' DEPEND ON IT!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

So you know about my "kissable" mug, right?? Shar peis have the big "fluffy" cheeks and soft sweet nose, not to mention the eyes that stare into your SOUL!! Yes, that is ME!!! Now I am a Shar Pei mixed girl, but it's as obvious when you meet me, as the nose on YOUR face :) I am Annabelle and I was dumped with my 9 puppies when they were teeny and I was starving :( LUCKILY, we were dumped by one of our AMAZING public servants (Fire Chief) and his wife, they knew they couldn't just leave us to die... SO THEY SAVED US!!! And let me tell you, we are A LOT of love, kissing and WRINKLES! My pups are all being adopted and I am ready for MY furever home too!! I am so sweet and gentle, I love to play with my doggy friends and puppies but no kitties need apply!! Not a fan of the claws, lol. I am such a good girl that you won't miss not having a kitty anyway :) I am ready for a medium energy home, I love to lay around plenty but can get a little excitement for other things like hiking or neighborhood walking. Look me up and adopt me!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Great semi energetic snuggly little boy!! Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com or https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other Rubble is a 6 mos old (DOB 8 Feb 2023) 40 lb Boxer/Retriever mix. He will be a medium to large dog as an adult. Rubble, his mom (45 lb) and littermates were found running down access road of a highway when they were 5 weeks old. Everyone in litter and mom died of Distemper (due to owner not giving them shots). Rubble is the sole survivor. He will be special needs throughout his life. He is a very special puppy that has tons of love to give and loves all humans, children, playing with other polite /low energy dogs, playing with toys and visiting with volunteers/staff getting chicken /treats. Did we say he LOVES his humans? When he plays and does his walk abouts you do not see any affects of distemper. He is crate trained, walks on a leash and loves car rides. He will benefit from some continued obediance training and public socialization with new environmental objects. He will play, then will hang out on the couch or your lap. He requires an owned home with a securely fenced yard in a colder climate as the hot TX temperature is not conducive to his health. He is looking for a special needs mixed breed dog experienced family. He will do best with another dog companion and someone that works from home or caregiver (female) is home. No apartments.
