Story
Meet Sir Wrinklesworth! 🐾 Sir Wrinklesworth is a 1-year-old, 52-pound Chinese Shar-Pei mix with an unforgettable wrinkly face and plenty of personality to match! This handsome boy was saved from euthanasia at the Hesperia shelter in California and is now ready to leave his past behind and find the family he deserves. Sir Wrinklesworth does well with other dogs with proper introductions. He does have a high prey drive, so he is looking for a home without cats or small dogs. We recommend a home with kids ages 8+ who can appreciate his personality, understand his boundaries, and be respectful companions. At just a year old, Sir Wrinklesworth has so much life ahead of him. He’s ready for a family who will give him the love, structure, and companionship he needs to thrive. His adoption fee is $295, which includes his neuter, vaccinations, and microchip. Think Sir Wrinklesworth could be your guy? Apply to meet him today! 🐶❤️

Story
Meet Ginger! Ginger came to us from a shelter in Idaho after she was found as a stray alongside another dog she had been living with. We're not sure how anyone could leave behind such a sweet and loving girl, especially considering that she has very limited vision, estimated at 10% or less. Despite her vision impairment, Ginger has so much love to give and is ready to find her forever home. She is looking for a safe, calm, and patient environment where she can learn her surroundings, build confidence, and enjoy the security and comfort she deserves. Once Ginger becomes familiar with her environment, she can relax and thrive, enjoying all the simple pleasures of a loving home. She is a gentle soul who will reward her new family with loyalty, affection, and companionship. Ginger is estimated to be 5-6yrs old, is spayed and UTD on all vaccines.  She is fostering in the Boise, ID area. Visit www.peipeople.com to complete an adoption application. Story
Meet Cass (Short for Casper) 👻❤️ She's the friendliest little ghost puppy you'll ever meet! Cass isn’t always great at first impressions. Meeting new people can be a little overwhelming for her, so she may need a few minutes to settle in. But don’t let that fool you, because once she feels safe, she’s guaranteed to steal your heart. She is one of the warmest, funniest, cuddliest, most loving dogs you’ll ever meet. At just 11 months old, Cass is a Shar Pei/bully breed mix weighing about 50 pounds. Cass is both completely deaf and visually impaired. When she arrived, she needed entropion surgery to correct her painful eyelids, and her surgery was a huge success. Despite her challenges, Cass approaches life with incredible resilience, joy, and love. She absolutely thrives around other dogs and would love a home with medium or large canine companions. She enjoys dogs of every size, but because she plays with the same enthusiasm regardless of her playmate’s size, we think she’d be happiest with dogs who can match her energy. Cass walks beautifully on a leash, settles nicely in her kennel at night, and loves both playtime and cuddle time equally. She would do well in a home with children ages 5 and up. She would do best in a home without cats. This sweet girl is eager to learn, eager to love, and eager to be someone’s best friend. If her future family wanted to teach her hand signals—or even learn a little sign language with her—we think she’d absolutely blossom. Cass is truly a beautiful soul who deserves a patient, loving family willing to see past her disabilities and recognize the incredible dog she is. She may not be able to hear your voice, but she has a special way of knowing exactly where the love is. One last thing: Cass is incredibly passionate about giving kisses. Keep a slobber towel nearby, because while she may not hear you coming, the moment she knows you’re there, she’ll shower you with all the kisses your heart can handle. Cass's adoption fee is $295 and she's spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Apply to meet Cass today!

Story
Meet Creed, a one year old playful little boy. Creed is a brush coat, 39 pound Shar Pei with the perfect build. He has a squish muzzle that is so soft and a silly hook tail. Creed comes with a personality that is the best of both worlds. He is playful & silly, absolutely loves tennis balls, squeaky stuffed animals and ropes (any kind of toys or bones). He will play for hours alone or with humans. He is so funny to watch, it just brings a smile to your face. He also enjoys and craves being loved. Creed will sit and lean into you just for a little attention. He will relax and cuddle up on the couch right next to you. Good with Dogs ✔️ Good around kids ✔️ Kennel training ✔️ Likes walks but is learning to not pull ✔️ (he is still a pup) Creed recently had bilateral cherry eye repair and entropion on both eyes.  He is healing from those surgeries but is ready to find a family who will spoil him and adore him as much as his foster family does. Creed is neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped and fostering in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Story
Hi, I'm Turbo. Turbo is proof that "special needs" just means extra special. This 1.5-year-old cream Shar Pei Lab mix is around 75 Ibs. of pure love, silliness, and puppy joy. He's playful, social, and has the softest coat to match his sweet soul. Turbo loves other dogs and is an expert cuddler. He has very interesting blue eyes but do not worry, he can see! He has Corneal Endothelial Dystrophy, a non-painful condition that causes cloudiness over time. His vision is currently decent, and daily eye drops help slow further progression of this condition. Turbo doesn't know he's "special needs" he just knows how to love. He's happy, active, and ready to be someone's best friend. With his compromised eyesight he'd do best with children who are 8 or older who understand his warmth and energetic nature. Turbo has been at the sanctuary for a few months and gets along wonderfully with all of the other dogs and the many people who care for him. He doesn't have much leash experience yet, so he'll benefit from continued training and a home with a securely fenced backyard to help him transition smoothly from sanctuary life to family life. Because of his vision and playful nature, Turbo would also do best in a home without cats. His adoption fee is $295 and he's neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Apply to meet Turbo today!

Story
Are you dreaming of a dog who will make you laugh and can keep up with you, with the softest coat and most ridiculous hops? We offer you Sir Ziegfeld Von Boingington III — Ziggy to us commonfolk.    How Ziggy ended up alone in rural Washington is a mystery, but a Good Samaritan found him and got him to Pei People. He immediately surprised his foster home with his unabashed happiness, perpetual smile, and absolute sweetness.    At around 18mos old, Ziggy is full of energy and loves life; he needs a yard to let him Zig, Zag, and Zoomie. He’s wary of strange loud things, so city life isn’t really his speed, as much as he loves meeting new people.    Ziggy is a pretty quick learner and loves to figure it out. He’d be fun to do more advanced training on with obedience or even backyard level agility! He has training basics down, is crate trained and would probably be a great hiking buddy.    Lord Z hasn’t been tested around kids yet, and his zest for life might accidentally topple smaller humans. He’s great around dogs his size but is too much for cats or small/fragile dogs — it’s not prey drive, rather play drive.  Everyone who has met him loves him and he has done great at the dog park. If interested in applying, visit www.peipeople.com and complete an adoption application.  Ziggy is fostering in Oregon City, OR. September 15, 2026, 1:26 pm
