He is doing okay, at least on the outside. Inside, though, he has no idea what it means to be a pet, to be someone’s family. That kind of life is still a mystery to him, and he has so much to learn. He figured out the stairs quickly, as if solving small problems was something he’d always had to do on his own. He needs gentle training, yes—but more than that, he needs patience, love, and care he had never been given. His body is thin, his muscles untested, his curiosity almost aching as he noses into everything, trying to understand a world that is new. With all the love he never had, he still has so much love left to give. He would make a wonderful family member—if only someone would finally teach him what family means.
