Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. This is Odin. He has a sad history involving being drug behind a vehicle for refusing to fight in the pit that his owner threw him into. But we aren't here to talk about his past. That's behind him now. We want to focus on the present and his future. He is so very cuddly. His motto is that personal space is over rated and there's no such thing as too close. He is fantstic with kids and absolutely loved all the attention and face kisses he received from his tiny visitors recently, ages 3 and 5 years old. He would love nothing more than to be someone’s little spoon for the rest of his days! I included the last picture of just a few of his scars to show he has not had an easy life. Cruelly tortured by humans, YET is so desperate for love and snuggles. His true nature of a lover, not a fighter has won out, and he is a survivor! He does fine with other non aggressive dogs, he's mostly uninterested in them and really just wants all the humans' attention. With proper introduction, we believe he would be happy in a home with another that would allow him to be the attention hog. We believe Odin is about 2 years old and he weighs about 65 lbs. He is fully vetted. Odin is located in Arkansas. He can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. Story
Meet Cherry, a lovable 5-year-old who is living proof that second chances are worth it! Once on the shelter`s kill list due to her emaciated condition and lack of space, Cherry has made a stunning recovery and is now a healthy 70-pound bundle of joy. Despite her size, she’s still a big puppy at heart, full of energy and affection.Cherry does great with other dogs, especially when introduced slowly, and she’s a fantastic companion who will always keep you smiling. While she’s a friendly and loving dog, she does have a strong instinct to chase smaller animals, so a cat-free home is a must.Cherry is housebroken, spayed, and up-to-date on all her vaccinations, making her ready to move into her forever home.If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and devoted companion, Cherry might be the perfect match for you! Let her bring love, laughter, and a whole lot of happiness into your life. Will you be the one to give this amazing girl the loving home she truly deserves?Located in Houston, Texas. Transport to most states available for an additional fee of $300.

Story
Say hi to Sadie! This lovely pup is looking for a new lease on life after spending much of her formative years crated and isolated. She is undersocialized and still learning to trust people, but she has a kind spirit and truly yearns for love and companionship. Since she can be timid with new people and in novel situations, she asks that any kids in the home be 8 and older. She does not have much experience with other dogs, but she is very curious and willing to try making friends with proper introduction. Sadie deserves some independence with the stability of a family to call her own. She has so much potential to be a loyal friend. ---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org
