Poppy is a beautiful female Shar Pei mix. She is about 35 lbs and around 1 year old. Poppy is the life of the party! She loves everyone she meets and knows that everyone will love her back. Poppy is great with kids and dogs of all sizes, but she won’t do well in a home with cats. One of Poppy’s favorite things to do is chase and wrestle with her foster brother, so she will absolutely need to be in a home with another lively dog that will run and play with her. She loves to chew on bones and play with toys. Whenever she finds a shoe she will steal it and carry it around, but she hasn’t managed to chew one up yet. She is crate trained and knows how to sit. We are working on leash training and so far she has been a dream! No pulling and stays right alongside her human. She is also getting used to riding in a car and does really well! She is an enthusiastic cuddler and loves to be right in your lap and get all the attention she can. She is a wonderful dog and is going to make an amazing companion. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Myrtle is a black Chinese Shar-Pei/Mix with a happy attitude and a ton of energy! She can't wait for her own forever home away from the hustle and bustle of Dogtown (all the barking and activity has her a little overwhelmed). Her favorite activities are walking the trails around the Sanctuary, as well as relaxing with toys when she returns.
