Meet the new kid on the block in Utah - GRASSHOPPER! Surprisingly she fits her quirky name.  She is bursting with enthusiasm and has been starved for a person to give her endless amounts of love to.  She is still underweight, but PeiPeople will have that remedied in no time.  Grasshopper is healing from her spay and entropion surgery.  Check back for updates on this little sweet pea!  We estimate she is around 5 years old and is fostering in Utah.  December 5, 2025, 11:29 am

Story
Ladies, do you want a reason to need to keep your nails done? Meet Cedric, he melts for back scratches and practically has an out of body experience if the one giving the scratches has strong, healthy nails. He may not be able to pay for them but he will always admire and appreciate them. In return for the backcscrathes he has snuggles, sweet kisses, and short walks to offer. And how could I forget- allll that charm! See for yourself- https://youtu.be/bBvu3Ah-AaE We estimate Cedric is 3 years old and is likely a bulldog mix. He currently weighs 44 lbs and we expect he will settle in just shy of 50 lbs. Given he is a rescue breed and age are details we cannot guarantee but you can take a survey on breed guesses, you will get a lot of bulldog responses and not from just looks alone. His charming personality gives us so many classic bulldog qualities, from his easy-going, unbothered nature to his approach to urgency- there is none. It would be best to rely on him for couch cuddles, giggle-inducing entertainment, and a few new friends (he attracts people like a magnet.) Cedric isn’t pushy about meeting passers by but he is albsolutely welcoming when they want to stop and say hi to him. We love the balance of “never met a stranger” but not overwhelmingly out-going. Basically, he plays it cool. An ideal home for Cedric would be one where his chill nature is embraced! Dogs are welcome but he could easily and happily be an only-dog. Anytime he has been introduced to new dogs or invited into the yard to play, he is polite and aloof. More of a companion than a playmate. Despite that we do think he would be best in a home with a yard, he really enjoys sauntering around the yard and its pretty cute to watch. This likely won’t come as a shock but its worth saying- Cedric is not interested in long, outdoor adventures, he considers himself the indoors-type. You understand. Kids are welcome in Cedrics world, he loves mini-people and they think he is pretty cute. If you love the bully qualities and can embrace them, Cedric is ready to come home, chill-vibes included Questions? We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA  or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $1200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! GIVE ME A SLICE OF THAT MEATLOAF! With a name fitting of his personality, meet Meatloaf! A chunky good ol’ boy who specializes in eating, sleeping, and tooting. LOL. He rocks a onesie like no other and is ready for his forever family! We believe Meatloaf is about 5 years old and weighs approximately 44 lbs. Despite his bulldog-like looks, we cannot guarantee breed or age given he is a rescue. But I am sure you can agree, Meatloaf has some bulldog in him. Watch Meatloaf here:https://youtu.be/vHUEv3XU5FM Meatloaf is a stout boy and unphased by most things. He currently is being fostered in a home with 6 other dogs weighing over 70 pounds and has not a care in the world. He is only concerned about what spot he gets to sleep in and what time dinner is! He would do well in a home with other dogs but would not offer much more than a body to cuddle with. He honestly would be great as a solo dog as well! If you offer him a treat and a space to sleep beside you, he is the happiest boy in the whole world! The only time I saw Meatloaf get slightly energized was when he met our housecat, Biggie. Meatloaf looked very ready to chase Biggie even though it was highly likely he would not get the chance because his speed only goes to .5 mph lol. Due to his peaked interest though, we are recommending that Meatloaf be in a home with no cats in order to keep the peace of the home. He hasn’t been around kids but we are happy to watch how he interacts around any aged kid that is in your home! We want to make sure that he is the perfect boy for you! Although a yard will be loved, Meatloaf could live in an apartment as long as stairs were not a regular element of his “commute.” It will be no surprise but he is not built for physically strenuous activities like flights of stairs or walks. Short walks are fine but long ones are not ideal. A single story apartment, one with an elevator, and nearby parking is definitely a possibility though! So why choose Meatloaf over the dozens of other bulldogs out there? Easy. He won’t just steal your heart, he’ll probably steal your spot on the couch, your last bite of sandwich, and become the most beloved part of your daily routine. Adopt Meatloaf and gain a best friend, a snoring soundtrack, and a loyal sidekick who’s always down for a snack and a snuggle. Because let’s be honest... meatloaf is always a good idea! Apply below to make Meatloaf your new best friend! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/68375574c57d20535e0359db Questions? Story
Hims so handsome!! Look at this beautiful boy! Meet Corbin Corndog, the charming young lad with the best floppy ears. Corbin is the kind of puppy who makes you stop in your tracks! Not just because of his precious puppy dawg eyes or that darling little face, but because his coat is literally the softest thing you’ve ever felt. Think silk, but fluffier. It’s nearly impossible not to reach out and give him a gentle pet, and once you do, it will be hard to stop! We believe that Corbin is a Boxer mix of some sort around 8 months old and weighs approximately 30 pounds. He's got big paws and is still growing, so he has the possibility of being a decent sized boy! I love his nubbin of a tail! That's how he got the name Corndog LOL! Due to him being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. Check out Corbin here: https://youtu.be/yD_zIpJN6_Q When Corbin came to visit us, he was full of gentle curiosity. He was especially affectionate with the humans, leaning into cuddles and curling up with Chelsey on the couch like he’d known her forever. There’s something incredibly sweet about the way he melts into people, it’s like he’s just been waiting for someone to call his own. He’s still a young pup, and when it came to other dogs at our rescue, he did best with ones closer to his size and energy level. Bigger, bouncier dogs can make him a little unsure, but once we introduced him to a playful pup more his speed, he lit right up and was ready for a round of chase. He’d do best in a home with a calm, medium-energy dog who gives him space to settle in and helps build his confidence. Corbin is also highly treat motivated, which makes him a dream student for anyone interested in teaching fun tricks or building a strong training foundation. Whether it’s “sit,” “stay,” or “let’s learn to be brave,” he’s ready to earn his gold star—as long as there’s a snack involved. He hasn’t had exposure to children yet, but we think he’d do well with older, dog-savvy kids who understand how to support a young dog learning the ropes. If there is a certain age you are curious in knowing how he acts around, please let us know and we would be happy to find out for you! We want to make sure he is perfect for your family! He was curious but a bit too enthusiastic with our housecat Biggie, so a cat-free home would be the best fit for him. Corbin’s ideal environment is a cozy home where he can stretch out, explore at his own pace, and share quiet moments with his people. Apartment life may not be his thing, but give him a backyard to sniff around in and a soft spot on the couch, and he’ll be in heaven. He’s affectionate, soulful, and just waiting to bloom into the loyal family companion he was meant to be. With a little patience and a lot of love, Corbin is going to be someone’s very best friend. Does Corbin sound like your new best buddy? Apply today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/687e987fa674cd7d1b0ab8b5 Questions?
