Story
This little guy is absolutely precious and darn near perfect !! Sad story. His owner was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer so he asked his vet to find a wonderful home for Tuk. And that's just what we aim to do. This little guys is approx 3-4 years old, neutered, completely house trained and leash trained. He's very good with people, kids and other dogs. Loves to lay in his kennel for comfort . Bonds very quickly with his people . Currently he's in a foster home in Memphis, Tn. Once adopted he will travel on transport to his new forever family ( transport is an additional $185) if you would like to make Tuk a part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application!Lacie is 7 yrs old    Lacie is a beautiful tri-color sheltie whose stare will stir your soul. Lacie loves to be loved. Her foster mom says she can be picked up easily, and she happily cuddles while soaking up long stretches of pets. Lacie does well walking on a leash at the park. She’s not reactive when passing people or dogs. In fact, Lacie doesn’t show much interest in other dogs. She gets along well with the female collie at  her foster home, though she hasn’t engaged in play with her yet. When strangers pet her, Lacie stands calmly and allows attention. Lacie hasn’t barked since being with her fosters. She doesn’t need to be crated. This sweet girl has behaved perfectly when her fosters aren’t home. Rides in the car go well, but she isn’t comfortable with being lifted in and out. Once there, though, she is a great car dog. Lacie is shy and may sometimes run from her fosters, so they consider her a flight risk at this time. Because of this, she would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard. Lacie is currently  overweight but has already begun to lose those extra pounds. The walks with her fosters are really helping her waistline. This lovely lass will thrive in a calm environment filled with love and tenderness.  Dont forget to visit our informative website, www.almosthomeohio.org, for valuable information and interesting features.February 21, 2026, 5:09 pm

Story
JosieFemaleAge: 1 YearWeight: 47 lbsBreed: Collie Mix Hi, I’m Josie! I’m a sweet, happy girl with an easygoing personality and a big love for people. My favorite place in the world is right next to my humans—honestly, if I could be velcroed to you on the couch, I would be! I’m always happiest when I’m close to my people, whether we’re relaxing at home, going for a walk, or hanging out in the yard. I get along great with other dogs and love playing outside with my dog friends. I’ve also seen a cat at the vet and didn’t pay much attention to it, though I haven’t officially lived with one yet. I do best with older kids. The kind person who found me said I didn’t seem too sure about little kids, but that may have been because they were bothering my puppies at the time. I’m a pretty well-behaved girl, too. I’m house trained, crate trained, and I walk nicely on a leash. When I first go into my crate, I might bark a little while I settle in, but once I get comfy, I’m perfectly fine. Toys are one of my favorite things! I love balls, rope toys, Nyla bones, and stuffed animals—although I have to admit that stuffed toys don’t usually survive very long with me around. Treats are fun too. Sometimes I take a moment to decide about new ones, but I always give them a try… and so far I haven’t turned any down! I’m just a cheerful, affectionate girl who settles in nicely at home and loves being part of the family. After some playtime or a nice walk, I’m more than happy to curl up next to you and relax for the evening. If you’re looking for a loving companion who will happily follow you around, share the couch, and fill your home with smiles, I might be your perfect match. I can’t wait to become your shadow—and your best friend. If you are interested in meeting Josie apply to adopt her at www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $350. Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 10 or older. ##2668649##

Story
Tucker is a, 90-pound, 5-year-old mixed breed with a truly unique coat. He can be a bit shy when meeting new people or settling into a new space, but once he feels safe and comfortable, his affectionate, goofy, and loving nature shines through. He adores attention and bonding time with his people. He loves being outdoors—sniffing, exploring—and is always up for playtime, especially if tennis balls are involved. When he’s not playing, you’ll often find him happily gazing out the window. He already has a solid foundation of training and knows basic commands such as sit, place, paw, and come. He’s been lovingly raised by his current owner since he was 6 months old and has known a home full of care, consistency, and affection. He is being rehomed due to resource guarding with food and toys toward another dog in the home. He would do best as the only pet, where he can fully relax and enjoy undivided attention. A calm household with a fenced yard and no young children is preferred.

Story
Leo is a great dog, likes to play outdoors, would prefer an older child or adult for companionship, high energy guy🥰I have had him for a while he was left with me by owner and never returned,I have his record of health that I provided while he is in my care.My current situation,I'm in an unsafe living situation, moving often for safety for family.New home does not have fencing like our old place so since Leo is such a shy guy he does really like the new feel of this yard space.Landlord will only allow me to keep my smaller dog.I just want someone who can love him and spend time with him and get him to not be so shy and afraid. Thanks hope this helps. Its tough to part with him but I would rather him be his happiest and live his best life as he deserves, just not with me.
