This little guy is absolutely precious and darn near perfect !! Sad story. His owner was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer so he asked his vet to find a wonderful home for Tuk. And that's just what we aim to do. This little guys is approx 3-4 years old, neutered, completely house trained and leash trained. He's very good with people, kids and other dogs. Loves to lay in his kennel for comfort . Bonds very quickly with his people . Currently he's in a foster home in Memphis, Tn. This little sweetheart will steal your heart. Her foster dad said she will make the perfect companion if you’re looking for a dog who will stick by your side and watch what you’re doing. Though Jeanie is a bit shy at first, she will be devoted to you once she knows you. Jeanie loves to have her face and left ear rubbed. She prefers to initiate cuddling, but is fine if you pick her up to have a snuggle session. She walks on a leash, but typical sheltie, at times likes to zigzag. Jeanie loves to run in a fenced-in yard because she has energy to burn. She does react to unexpected loud noises and her first instinct is to run, so for these reasons, she will need a fenced yard. He absolutely loves all toys and his favorite hobby is emptying the toy box and playing with every.single.one! Poncho really loves kids and is super respectful of them, sometimes he even leans his butt into them to encourage pets. For the most part he is pretty laid back, but he gets spurts of energy where he wants to run and be rowdy, but the mood leaves as quickly as it comes. He would probably enjoy another dog around the same energy/personality level the most. Unfortunately, he is a little unsure of kitty friends and has tried to chase them. He is happy to be by you, or entertain himself. He has the best smile and when he runs he has a rumpy little corgi-like butt!  Likes: TOYS! Treats, kids, short rowdy play sessions (or just co-existing), fetch, water Dislikes: Cats What makes this dog special: Poncho is like an older man in a younger dog's body. He still wants to enjoy life, loves to play, but doesn't demand or need TONS of exercise and stimulus. He is old enough to know better, but young enough to still keep up! Poncho's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current.
