🐾 Meet Ella 🧡
Ella is the total package: smart, affectionate, playful, and endlessly devoted to her people. At nearly 2 years old and just under 50 pounds, this beautiful biscuit-colored Pit Bull mix has left her difficult early days behind and is ready to find the forever family she's been waiting for.
One of the first things you'll notice about Ella is her happy little thump-thump tail. She greets life with curiosity and enthusiasm, and nothing makes her happier than being included in whatever her family is doing. Whether you're working around the house, relaxing on the couch, going for a walk, or heading out on an adventure, Ella wants to be right by your side.
She's incredibly intelligent and eager to learn. In fact, she's picked up leash walking, household routines, and basic manners remarkably quickly despite missing out on much of the early socialization most puppies receive. She responds beautifully to guidance and continues to blossom with consistency and positive reinforcement.
Ella absolutely adores people of all ages and is wonderful with children. She also gets along beautifully with cats. Around other dogs, she's social and playful but sometimes a little too enthusiastic. Imagine the preschooler who's so excited to make friends that she keeps asking everyone to play until someone finally says, "Okay, enough!" Ella does best with confident, well-balanced dogs who enjoy active play or can politely tell her when it's time to take a break. With thoughtful introductions and continued socialization, she has all the makings of an excellent canine companion.
When it's time to play, Ella is all in. Tennis balls are her favorite, and she absolutely loves a good game of fetch. She enjoys puzzle toys, bubbles, chew toys, and just about any activity that lets her use both her body and her brain. After she's had a chance to burn off some energy, she's perfectly content to relax in the house, quietly following her people from room to room or curling up nearby for a cuddle.
Ella rides wonderfully in the car and would make an excellent adventure buddy. She'd love a securely fenced yard where she can safely run and play, along with daily walks and opportunities to keep both her mind and body active.
Ella is house-trained and has excellent manners inside the home. She quietly sleeps in her crate at night, though she'd much prefer sleeping near her favorite person. Because of her past, she can become anxious when left completely alone for long periods and may occasionally have accidents despite being potty trained. She has learned to use training pads appropriately when needed, and her foster believes she'd thrive in a home where someone works from home, has a flexible schedule, or simply isn't gone for extended hours every day.
One of Ella's greatest strengths is her resilience. Despite everything she's experienced, she's remained loving, trusting, and eager to build new relationships. Her foster says that if circumstances were different, she'd gladly keep Ella herself—and that's about the highest compliment any foster dog can receive.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who will keep you smiling, join you on every adventure, and end each day curled up beside you, Ella is ready to become your very best friend. 🧡🐾
