Story
Meet Diamond – A Shining Soul with a Heart of Gold Diamond is a stunning 5-year-old black Pit Bull/Lab mix whose story is as powerful as her name. When she was rescued, Diamond had endured severe neglect and abuse — she was skin and bones, missing patches of fur, and had lost faith in people. But with love, patience, and care, this beautiful girl has blossomed into a happy, playful companion with a dazzling smile and sleek black coat. Diamond is crate trained and has never had an accident indoors. She sleeps soundly through the night in a crate, but she’d much prefer to curl up in bed next to her person. Once she feels safe, her playful and goofy personality shines through — she loves walks, plays with toys, and has the most endearing zoomies. She’s also learning to enjoy human affection, and her foster mom has worked hard to help her learn that human touch can be kind. Diamond would do best as the only pet in an adult-only home. She is not cat-friendly and can be unpredictable with other dogs. Her ideal adopter will respect her need for slow introductions and structure. Because of her past, food is a valuable resource for Diamond and should be managed with care. Like many young dogs, she can still be a bit mouthy when excited, but she listens beautifully when told to calm down or redirects to a toy. Once Diamond trusts you, you’ll see just how special she is — her loyalty runs deep, and her goofy grin will melt your heart every day. She is proof that love and patience can heal old wounds, and she’s ready to find the person who will let her sparkle forever. Could you be the one to give Diamond her forever home and show her what unconditional love truly feels like? Diamond is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know her in your home before finalizing the adoption. Story
🐾 Meet Ella 🧡 Ella is the total package: smart, affectionate, playful, and endlessly devoted to her people. At nearly 2 years old and just under 50 pounds, this beautiful biscuit-colored Pit Bull mix has left her difficult early days behind and is ready to find the forever family she's been waiting for. One of the first things you'll notice about Ella is her happy little thump-thump tail. She greets life with curiosity and enthusiasm, and nothing makes her happier than being included in whatever her family is doing. Whether you're working around the house, relaxing on the couch, going for a walk, or heading out on an adventure, Ella wants to be right by your side. She's incredibly intelligent and eager to learn. In fact, she's picked up leash walking, household routines, and basic manners remarkably quickly despite missing out on much of the early socialization most puppies receive. She responds beautifully to guidance and continues to blossom with consistency and positive reinforcement. Ella absolutely adores people of all ages and is wonderful with children. She also gets along beautifully with cats. Around other dogs, she's social and playful but sometimes a little too enthusiastic. Imagine the preschooler who's so excited to make friends that she keeps asking everyone to play until someone finally says, "Okay, enough!" Ella does best with confident, well-balanced dogs who enjoy active play or can politely tell her when it's time to take a break. With thoughtful introductions and continued socialization, she has all the makings of an excellent canine companion. When it's time to play, Ella is all in. Tennis balls are her favorite, and she absolutely loves a good game of fetch. She enjoys puzzle toys, bubbles, chew toys, and just about any activity that lets her use both her body and her brain. After she's had a chance to burn off some energy, she's perfectly content to relax in the house, quietly following her people from room to room or curling up nearby for a cuddle. Ella rides wonderfully in the car and would make an excellent adventure buddy. She'd love a securely fenced yard where she can safely run and play, along with daily walks and opportunities to keep both her mind and body active. Ella is house-trained and has excellent manners inside the home. She quietly sleeps in her crate at night, though she'd much prefer sleeping near her favorite person. Because of her past, she can become anxious when left completely alone for long periods and may occasionally have accidents despite being potty trained. She has learned to use training pads appropriately when needed, and her foster believes she'd thrive in a home where someone works from home, has a flexible schedule, or simply isn't gone for extended hours every day. One of Ella's greatest strengths is her resilience. Despite everything she's experienced, she's remained loving, trusting, and eager to build new relationships. Her foster says that if circumstances were different, she'd gladly keep Ella herself—and that's about the highest compliment any foster dog can receive. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will keep you smiling, join you on every adventure, and end each day curled up beside you, Ella is ready to become your very best friend. 🧡🐾 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Dia (Diamond) 🤍 | 5-Year-Old Pit Bull Terrier Mix Dia is a beautiful, all-white girl with a big heart and a loyal spirit. After spending several years in a home with a family, she’s now looking for a fresh start where she can once again be a devoted companion. Dia has lived as an indoor dog and is crate trained, comfortable being left alone, and used to a home routine. She has also done very well with children and previously lived with kids as young as two years old, showing a gentle and patient side with her family. This sweet girl weighs 63 pounds and has overcome some medical challenges in the past, including surgery on both knees (similar to ACL repairs in people). Despite that, she’s continued to live a happy, active life and is ready to share her love with a new family. Dia came back to rescue after experiencing some stress and changes in her previous home. Based on her recent history with other dogs, Dia will do best as the only dog in the household where she can enjoy a calm, stable environment and soak up all the attention from her people. Her experience with cats is unknown. Dia is: • 🤍 Loyal and affectionate with her people • 🏡 Used to indoor home life • 🛏 Crate trained and comfortable when left alone • 👧 Great with children • 🐾 Best suited as the only dog in the home • 💪 A resilient girl who’s overcome past knee surgeries Dia is looking for a stable, loving home where she can settle in, rebuild her confidence, and be someone’s faithful companion again. Dia is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know Dia in your home before finalizing the adoption. It is a great way to ensure the perfect fit! If you’re searching for a devoted dog who will bond closely with her family and bring love to your home, Dia may be the perfect match. 🐾 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt.
