Meet Ftitz. Coming to us since he faced probable euthanasia at a dog pound in southern OH. Not that anything was wrong with him they just put dogs down. We believe he about 3 years old and is a purebred Shepherd. Fritz will be a big boy once he gains the weight he desperately needs. He has gained some and is currently at 70 pounds but needs to gain more. Doesn’t seem to mind other dogs, unsure about cats. He is very friendly with all the people he has met. Fritz has now been neutered and received the balance of his vetting. He is negative on the 4dx test. He will need an active adopter who is willing to provider daily exercise and enrichment. We adopted Alec last June from a shelter. They did not have a history on him as they acquired him from "a bad situation in a kennel" although I do have a limited medical history. Alec is six years old, weighs 73 lbs and is quite energetic and loves the outdoors unfortunately, I believe he has never been leash trained and does pull on walks so he would need furter training. He is affectionate, a bit mischievous, and will steal food off counters. He gets along well with other dogs (NOT small dogs or cats) and with people. He has not been exposed to children so that is an unknown. I would recommend a background with having a Husky as his personality favors them more than a Shepherd. I'm giving him up as my wife has since passed and my arthritis has decided to invade my hands and wrists enough to where I will in all probability require surgery. Also, I am seriously looking to sell my house and move to a senior community.

I love playing with all kinds of toys and balls, but one of my favorite activities is walking on the treadmill. I do a great job walking outside on a leash, too! I just really love to exercise! True to my breed, I require lots of physical and mental stimulation, and would likely be a great fit for a family who can train me for dog sports. I am potty-trained, crate-trained, and obey basic commands. I do get along with other dogs, but I can be a little bit bossy sometimes. If you’re an active family looking for a playful, furry pal, then I’m your girl! Fill out an application to meet me! If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes.
