Story
What my friends at OHS say about me:I am used to living an active lifestyle! I would love to get up and go adventure with you.I have lived with another large dog and cats in my last home.I know some basic cues, such as sit, shake, and down.Get your throwing arm ready! I would love to play fetch with you as much as we can. Choo Choo! Bandit express comin' through! I can pull like a freight train on leash, so I'll need support from my forever family to work on my leash manners.Escape Artist: I have a history of escaping doors or fences. I will need supervision when outdoors and when we go on adventures together - on leash of course!Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment. The type of home I'm looking for:It could be with you! What my friends at OHS say about me:I love to be in the spotlight! With my dashing good looks and undeniable charm, I'm ready to be the star of the show.Do you love bear hugs? Me too! I've been told that those aren't appropriate greetings, and I'm trying hard to learn that- could you help me?I hope you aren't afraid of insects because I'm an adorable cuddle bug!Choo-choo! The Weezy Express is coming through! I can pull like a freight train on walks and will need help working on my leash manners with my new family.Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.High Energy: I can become easily frustrated if my energy and exercise needs are not met. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish. The type of home I'm looking for:I need to be the only pet in the home.I would flourish in a quiet, calm environment and a low-traffic home. No busy apartments or dwellings. I need to go to a home without small children. I am completely oblivious to my large size, and my big, goofy ways may be too much for young kids.It could be with you! Story
Samson is the most loving dog and wonderful companion. He loves to cuddle next to you or even better on you :) He’s very chill and loves his naps, but is always up for a walk or going to the park. He thrives with lots of attention and his favorite thing is his snuffle mat! We adopted Samson from the Portland Humane Society in Jan/2024 when he was 2 years old. He warmed up to us right away, but sadly, after trying everything he has not warmed up to our cat. It simply is not a good match and has become too difficult keeping them apart all the time, so we have made the tough decision to find Samson a new home. We hope to find him a loving home soon 💚
