UPDATE- Akoya has been moved to PETA to await her new home for the time being. She is the perfect angel when left at home alone. She curls up in her comfortable safe spot until your return. She loves to play, cuddle, hug and kiss. She is better paired with only dogs her size or bigger when playing and mid to late teens and adults only, as she tends to play rough, but is quick to apologize if she gets too rough. She is small for her hybrid breed and is super fast and strong. She would be in agility classes to see were she is best at course competition because she loves to learn and enjoys going to school. She is one who will win purses! She needs a caregiver with a big backyard for her to run and explore. She does not like to be confined but will put herself in time out if she thinks she did wrong. She is trained to potty inside and outside and she comes with all her pet belongings. Reach out to me to find out.

Story
Kane is a full breed German shepherd. He is about 5 years old. Ball enthusiast, silly, big cuddle baby. His bark is louder and scarier than his “bite”. He is loyal and protective and slow to warm up to other dogs. Great with kids. Needing to rehome due to allergies and moving Kane does not like his tail touched. Kane has a “brother” named Koda who is a boxer/beagle

Story
Grayson is 7 months old, still a puppy. I have a very busy schedule with work and I feel like I don’t have the time to take of him as I should. I’ll be very selfish of me to just leave him by his self and no one is really home to be with him. He’s very active, energetic and of course smart. In his new home, I want to be sure he’s very well taken care of, I have trained him on some of the commands, if you want to train him to do other things, you more than likely can, I want him to be healthy and happy with someone who can light up his world and make him feel like the best dog ever. Someone that will absolutely take good care of him. He is also clingy, loves attention, and has a little bit of separation anxiety. That is also another reason why I rather give him to a family that will be with him more often than I do, but overall he is a good boy.

Story
Mimosa is in a FOSTER home while she waits for her FOREVER home. Please reach out to PRAS-FOSTER@NNVA.GOV if you would like to meet her. Mimosa, affectionately known as Mimi, is a 7-year-old APBT mix looking for her new forever home. Due to some personal circumstances, her previous owner was no longer able to care for her, but they trusted that PRAS would help find her the wonderful home she deserves.Mimosa has lived with other dogs and cats and is reported to do well with both. While her profile noted that she could sometimes be a little timid around female dogs, she recently participated in a playgroup where she did wonderfully—her best friend in the group was even a female dog larger than her.She is housebroken, crate trained, and already has the manners that make transitioning into a new home much easier. Mimosa is currently spending time in a foster home while she waits for her forever family. If you’re interested in meeting Mimosa, please reach out to PRAS-FOSTER@NNVA.GOV to schedule a meet and greet. She’s ready to start her next chapter with a family to call her own.
