UPDATE- Akoya has been moved to PETA to await her new home for the time being. She is the perfect angel when left at home alone. She curls up in her comfortable safe spot until your return. She loves to play, cuddle, hug and kiss. She is better paired with only dogs her size or bigger when playing and mid to late teens and adults only, as she tends to play rough, but is quick to apologize if she gets too rough. She is small for her hybrid breed and is super fast and strong. She would be in agility classes to see were she is best at course competition because she loves to learn and enjoys going to school. She is one who will win purses! She needs a caregiver with a big backyard for her to run and explore. She does not like to be confined but will put herself in time out if she thinks she did wrong. She is trained to potty inside and outside and she comes with all her pet belongings. Reach out to me to find out.

Story
Luke came from a rural shelter where he was surrendered.  He is 8 yrs old and has been chained most of his life- he has a permanent bald ring around his neck from the chain.  Despite that, he is a sweet boy who is learning to be an inside dog.  He is learning to calm himself by going into his crate when he feels overwhelmed.  He has taken a great liking to his foster dad and will get into his lap to calm himself.  Luke will be starting heart worm treatment soon and will be available at the end of the treatment.  He needs a 6 ft privacy fenced and a family with older respectful kids as he can be too much for little ones when he gets the zoomies.  We don't think he would be good with cats because he shows too much interest in those outside.  He needs a family who is willing to be patient with him and show him what a loving family is and one who will always take good care of him.  If you are looking for a sweet boy who desperately wants to be part of someone's family and are willing to be patient and love him unconditionally, please contact Rainbow Rescue at :  rainbowanimalrescueva@gmail.com or call at 757-472-1583April 29, 2026, 12:20 am

Story
We brought her home from a breeder at about 9 weeks old (born 5/9/25). She is house and crate trained. She’s a sweet dog but shy with new people and would benefit from continued socialization and a patient home. We’re rehoming due to recent life changes, two young children and a new business have made our schedule busier than expected, and she isn’t getting the time she deserves. We want a family who can give her consistent attention, training, and love so she can continue gaining confidence.

Story
Butters was my sister’s foster dog. I knew I did not have the money, time, or resources to take her in. Unfortunately, the organization informed my sister that if I didn’t take Butters, she would have to be put down. She is the sweetest dog in the world. Butters (Buttercup) is about 60 lb She is 5 years old She is a Pitbull mix and I’m unsure of the second half but suspect Lab She is potty trained, crate trained, and house trained She adapts VERY quickly to her surroundings (she learned how to free feed because it’s what my other dog does) She has a lot of energy and would require walks and/or a yard to play in She loves cuddling and has never shown any aggression towards people or dogs in the year plus I’ve had her. I wish I were in a position to take better care of her but I simply cannot.
