Story
Meet Batman – the Sweetest Meatball with a Big Heart! Batman is a handsome Pitty mix with a big head, an even bigger heart, and a silly side. When meeting new people or entering new environments, he can be a little shy at first. He prefers to sit back and observe, taking everything in at his own pace. Give him a few minutes, though, and once he feels comfortable, Batman’s silly, affectionate personality shines right through. Batman loves being outside and truly enjoys playing with other dogs. He also adores affection and does especially well with older children. Because he’s a stocky, happy guy, he’ll need a home without small children—not because he’s aggressive (he’s absolutely not!), but because once he’s comfortable, he can’t always contain his zoomies and could accidently hurt a small child. In his foster home, Batman has met cats and does well with supervision. He’s curious and wants to play, and sometimes doesn’t realize that his size could be a bit much—so a patient, attentive home would be best if feline friends are involved. One of Batman’s favorite parts of the day is cuddle time. He’s a champion snuggler and has a serious weakness for butt scratches. He also has excellent house manners: he’s potty trained, doesn’t bark much, and settles nicely in his crate at night. Batman is looking for a special family—one that understands he just needs a little time to warm up to new people and places. If you’re willing to give him that grace, you’ll be rewarded with an incredibly sweet, loyal, and loving companion. Batman is truly an amazing dog, and he’s ready to find the forever home he deserves. Story
Stevie the mixed breed puppy's Story Stevie is a 2-month-old female puppy who had a uniquely safe and loving start to life. Her mom, Mrs. Potts — a pit/Labrador mix — was brought into a Texas shelter while pregnant. A local veterinarian generously stepped in and took her into their facility so she could safely whelp and raise her puppies in a warm, controlled environment. Because of that kindness, Stevie and her siblings were able to begin life surrounded by care and human compassion. Stevie is now ready to start her own journey toward a forever home. Like her sister, she has been well cared for since birth and is a typical young puppy — curious, sweet, and still learning about the world around her. Stevie will thrive with a family prepared for puppy training, socialization, and the time commitment that comes with raising a young dog. In return, she’ll grow into a loving, loyal companion and a wonderful addition to the right home. She enjoys people of all ages and gets along well with other dogs. She is working on her potty training in Texas, however her new family should be prepared to do additional training while she learns the routine at her new home in WI as she is just a young puppy. She is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies her to be in good condition. She will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday, February 6th, and will be available to meet, and take home if she is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. Her adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. She is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption on Friday February 6th. If upon meeting, she is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable. We ask that you are serious about your intent to adopt before placing a deposit, so as not to prevent him from finding her forever family in the meantime, as we only accept one deposit per dog. Story
Zeppelin is a 3-month-old male puppy who got the very best start in life despite the odds. His mom, Mrs. Potts — a staffie mix — was brought into a Texas shelter while pregnant. A local veterinarian stepped in and welcomed her into their facility so she could safely whelp and raise her puppies in a warm, caring environment. Thanks to that extra compassion, Zeppelin has known safety and human kindness from day one. All of Zeppelin’s siblings have found homes, and he is the last of his litter — which means he’s now packing his bags and heading north. Like any puppy his age, he is curious, affectionate, and still learning about the world. Zeppelin will thrive with a family prepared for puppy training, socialization, and lots of love, and in return he will grow into a loyal, happy companion. He is working on potty training, however his new family should be prepared to do additional training while they learn the routine at his new home in WI as he is just a young puppy. He is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition.
