Story
Meet Batman – the Sweetest Meatball with a Big Heart! Batman is a handsome Pitty mix with a big head, an even bigger heart, and a silly side. When meeting new people or entering new environments, he can be a little shy at first. He prefers to sit back and observe, taking everything in at his own pace. Give him a few minutes, though, and once he feels comfortable, Batman’s silly, affectionate personality shines right through. Batman loves being outside and truly enjoys playing with other dogs. He also adores affection and does especially well with older children. Because he’s a stocky, happy guy, he’ll need a home without small children—not because he’s aggressive (he’s absolutely not!), but because once he’s comfortable, he can’t always contain his zoomies and could accidently hurt a small child. In his foster home, Batman has met cats and does well with supervision. He’s curious and wants to play, and sometimes doesn’t realize that his size could be a bit much—so a patient, attentive home would be best if feline friends are involved. One of Batman’s favorite parts of the day is cuddle time. He’s a champion snuggler and has a serious weakness for butt scratches. He also has excellent house manners: he’s potty trained, doesn’t bark much, and settles nicely in his crate at night. Batman is looking for a special family—one that understands he just needs a little time to warm up to new people and places. If you’re willing to give him that grace, you’ll be rewarded with an incredibly sweet, loyal, and loving companion. Batman is truly an amazing dog, and he’s ready to find the forever home he deserves. Story
Arriving in Wisconsin March 20th! Cheese is an adorable 2-3 month old mixed breed puppy. While his exact breed mix is unknonwn, our best guess is some shepherd due to his coloring and some retriever with his floppy ears. He currently weighs about 9 pounds and we expect him to be large size when fully grown. Cheese was found by a good samaritan and was brought to the shelter in rural Texas. He is excited to make his trip to Wisconsin and find his forever family. He is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. He will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday, March 20th, and will be available to meet, and take home if he is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. He is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption on Friday March 20th. If upon meeting, he is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable. We ask that you are serious about your intent to adopt before placing a deposit, so as not to prevent him from finding his forever family in the meantime, as we only accept one deposit per dog. If you’re not already familiar with our group, please feel free to visit our Group Page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity If you are serious about this pup, please contact us at DogTrailRides@gmail.com. We take payments through Zelle, Venmo or credit cards processed through Square. All of these methods provide a receipt. Thank you for supporting our efforts to bring Texas dogs north to loving homes! Story
Meet Deputy — a shepherd puppy with a big personality packed into a tiny body. He’s curious about everything the world has to offer, always eager to explore, and just mischievous enough to keep you smiling. This little guy is affectionate and playful, equally happy zooming around with his dog friends or curling up for cuddles when playtime winds down. Deputy is a smart pup who is eager to learn, and he’s highly food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding for him. He’s already working on his potty training and does well going outside when he’s taken out regularly—he’s catching on quickly! Deputy loves making new friends and seems to charm just about everyone he meets. He loves kids and does well with them, making him a great candidate for a family companion. He enjoys playing with other dogs and is curious about the resident cats, often watching them with interest. In return, Deputy promises a lifetime of laughter, love, and plenty of snuggles.
