This litter is comprised of six German Shepherd mix male puppies born May 5 and lovingly hand-raised in foster care in a calm, nurturing environment. Their names are Ham, Squints, Benny, Smalls, Grover, and Yeah Yeah.
Their mama is a petite 40-pound German Shepherd mix who is wonderful with people and other dogs. Sadly, she appears to have been overbred for much of her life, but despite that, she has been an incredibly devoted mother to her puppies. Dad is unknown.
We are looking for committed, lifelong homes ready for every stage of a dog’s life — not just the cute puppy phase. When you adopt a puppy, you are also choosing to raise a rambunctious adolescent, an adult with their own unique personality and traits, and eventually a senior dog who will need patience, care, and love as they age. A puppy is a lifetime commitment.
Remember: you may have many dogs throughout your life, but to them, you will be their only family. A dog’s quality of life is a direct reflection of the care, stability, love, and commitment they receive from their people.
Accepting Pre-Apps Now! Available to qualified/approved adopters throughout the state and beyond, but potential adopters MUST be able to meet in person to adopt. Located in Foster, Davis CA. Puppies will be available for adoption at 9 weeks of age.
$500 adoption donation: 5 month neutered agreement addendum, up-to-date on first shots, deworming and microchip included.
In foster: Davis, California
Interested in adopting?
1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application
2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call!
3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home
Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time.
