Story
Rocco is a 2-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix who came to us after being rescued from the Riverside Shelter. He’s incredibly sweet with a happy-go-lucky personality that fits just about anywhere. Rocco has been a star at our public events—he loves meeting new people and is especially gentle and patient with children. He gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. Rocco would thrive in a home with another playful dog or kids to romp around with. As a Husky/Shepherd mix, he’ll do best with an active family and a yard where he can burn off energy, but he also knows when it’s time to settle down and relax. Rocco is truly the best of both worlds, and whoever adopts him will feel like they’ve hit the jackpot. Buddy is a handsome young German Shepherd with three legs, a big heart, and plenty of personality! Don’t let his tripod status fool you—this boy can move with confidence and loves going for walks. He’s affectionate with the people he knows, takes treats gently, and proudly shows off his “sit” command whenever he can. Buddy walks well on leash when it’s just him and his person, but he can get reactive when other dogs are around. He’s still learning how to interact appropriately with other dogs, so for now, he’s looking for a home where he can be the only pet. A breed- or dog-experienced owner who can continue helping him build confidence would be ideal.

Loki is a social guy who’s gotten along with everyone he’s met at the shelter. He’s smart, knows basic commands like “sit” and “stay,” and is always up for an adventure. He loves car rides, but be warned—keep those windows up, because Loki’s a little too excited about the world outside and might try to leap right into it! He’s got a high-energy, dominant playstyle and does best with large dogs who can match his vibe. Small dogs? A bit too much for them. But if you’ve got a big dog who loves to romp, Loki could be a perfect playmate. With his bold spirit, good manners, and goofy charm, Loki is looking for an active home that can keep up with him—and maybe help his fur grow back a little evenly!
